I booked to view a property and was told Justin would meet me there, and they would send me a text to confirm the house number and postcode. They didn't send a text but I was able to see from Google maps/street view which house we were viewing. We arrived a few minutes early to be safe, waited until about 10 minutes after we were supposed to be met and then phoned the office which went to an answering machine. Waited another 10 minutes until I phoned again but again there was no answer so I left a message this time. We eventually left the property 45 minutes after we should have been met very disappointed and have never heard back from them. I also sent a message through their website to the Albany Road branch complaining because we had travelled down from Swansea to view this property and wasted our time and money. Again I have recieved no reply.

30 Oct 2014As a Branch Lettings Manager it is important for us to review any complaints to better enable us to improve on our mistakes so we meet and exceed our customers expectations. I am sorry that our service levels on this occasion was not to your satisfaction. When a Client telephones to book a viewing on one of our properties, we register your details and inform you of the name of the member of staff who you will be meeting once an appointment is confirmed. We then inform you we will try and arrange an appointment for the time and date you have requested. Once this has been agreed we tell you that a text will be sent to your phone confirming the full address, time and date of your appointment. We do reiterate that you should not attend the property unless you receive this text. I apologise if this was not communicated successfully to you. By looking up the property google map and then attending without a text confirming the appointment this is the reason no member of staff would have been in attendance. I have reviewed our email communications and cannot find an email relating to a viewing at this time. I would be grateful if you could email me directly your concerns so I am able to give a more accurate response to any specific issues. my email is justin.mcbarnet@taylorscountrywide.co.uk I look forward to hearing from you and once again apologise for an inconvienance caused.

General professional courtesy would be nice when dealing with people who would be earning you commission.
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
