The reviews here are depressingly familiar, echoing my own experience of living in a tenement building "managed" by MacFie & Co. For some years now, all attempts to get common repairs and close maintenance sorted have been stalled by MacFie's inability to gather funds and/or majority assent for essential works. Their attitude to clients is dismissive and, at times, downright rude and patronising - I was once called "touchingly naive" (in writing) by Mr Dickson for having had the temerity to pull them up on their incompetence. Their slogan is "Hands On Property Management" but their idea of "hands on" seems to consist of sending out letters and then shrugging their shoulders if this lazy (and ineffectual) approach doesn't have the desired effect. The only efficiency I've ever witnessed is their ability to send out and chase up bills for their "services". On the principle that a picture tells a thousand words, I've attached some images taken yesterday of the communal areas of our building. PLEASE, if you're thinking of employing this firm, think again - in my opinion, you will be squandering your money and signing up for years of frustration, potentially damaging the value of your home in the process.

They could have provided the service for which they are paid.

Absolute charlatans. I have had to sell my property in Cathcart because of these cowboys. Pillage you for money and do nothing. £30 per quarter is fine if they do anything for their money. It's a rip off with MacFie because they do nothing. They struggle to reply to emails, get invoices correct or even get quotes for work required on the building.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
