Winkworth have the most unprofessional, negligent people working for them. When I moved into my flat, 1 year ago I could see water damage had formed in certain areas. Not only was it ugly, but also made me wonder about mould and structural issues. After asking to have it addressed about 5 times the first month, it continued to get worse. After sending photos, people from Winkworth came to see it a number of times. I asked consistently every few weeks for 9 MONTHS to have it fixed since it became exponentially worse. Eventually one day, the ceiling caved in entirely, leaving a hole with a circumference of 1.5 meters. This is the worst example, but I have also had my tenant rights tossed aside time and time again when they refuse to call me to let me know workers will be coming by, simply giving them the keys to enter at any time. Sometimes when I have been indecent! No matter how big or small the issue is, these people are so unprofessional. Many other things needed to be fixed in the flat too, but they never will be, because of how slow and terrible they are. Given that I have an 18 month lease and pay quite expensive rent for my posh flat, this is unacceptable. I could never recommend them to anyone. Yes they may have some nice properties, but they only care about their fees. Several times in fact they have tried to squeeze out extra money from me, making up ridiculous things to charge me for, only to back down when I tell them I do not owe them any money. I feel badly for those who live in their properties and do not stand up to them, they are the scum of letting agents in my opinion. Will never rent from them again.
