MCR property is a terrible letting agent, and you should go elsewhere. At 8.30 pm the night before I was due to move in they rang to tell me that the property wasn't ready and they didn't know when it would be. Two weeks later, I moved in - there was no apology or explanation, and they did not want to discount the rent (!!!) but I insisted. About 4 months into a six month let, the property flooded, causing extensive damage to my personal property. The flooding was due to terrible maintance and installation of water pipes and floor tiles. MCR were absolutely no help at all in clearing the water, and refused to provide dehumidifiers until 4 weeks later when the mould in the property had reached a.5 meters in height. Again ,they did not offer to discount the rent, and when I withdrew rent payment they repeadedly threatened to change the locks on the property and sell my belongings. I took legal advice, and left as soon as I could. They constinued to send debt collectors after me for months. Illegal, immoral and unhelpful. Avoid at all costs.

We have had a nightmare with MCR properties and I would advise nobody to rent anything from them. Our toilet broke on a Friday night, we could get hold of anybody until 10:30 am the next morning. three different people took down our details and promised to phone us back and nobody got back to ...
