On the thursday prior to the Monday in the letter we received the correspondence below... I am very sorry to have to deliver this news, but unfortunately the landlord has withdrawn from the letting of this property, and therefore we will be unable to commence a tenancy on Monday 14th. I'm aware this is very late in the day, but as you can probably appreciate, it is one of those situations that we cannot anticipate, nor prevent in any way. We will obviously refund the whole balance of your application fees, and this will be returned to you either via BACs payment, or via a cheque. If you could let us know which would be best for you, it would be much appreciated. PALMER SNELL have two weeks on neither refunded the deposit nor responded to our requests to help us sort out the issue of broadband which we had paid to have installed at the property. The landlord had offered to pay half the cost of a dishwasher TWO DAYS before this letter was issued. We have suffered much more pain than all this indicates. We were re locating a family of 8 down three hundred miles to this house and at two days notice in holiday season have had to take on holiday lets of £2000 a week and move all our children including toddler and under one year old. We have had to pay at short notice for ALL our belongings to go into storage. This is a nightmare. I rang the branch and the Lyme Regis man was so rude to me - shouted that i was being rude when i asked for the deposit back. I still have not received the deposit DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY
