Shockingly poor service. We called the office within an hour of this property going onto the market and left our details. No response. my wife called the office next day to be told they were having problems contacting the current tenant but they would call back asap. Two days later I called to be told they still couldn't get hold of the tenant. No problem I said, we can look at very short notice and at their convenience. Over the weekend we emailed again to confirm we were still very interested. I had a call yesterday, Monday morning, from 'daniel' who told me the tenant was coming back off holiday that day and he would call him and call me back. This morning the property is marked up as Let Agreed!! I know how Rightmove works, they would have had to upload the change last night to get it live today, so they must have been referencing a prospective tenant yesterday when he told me they couldn't get hold of the current tenant. Why lie? just tell me you have another application proceeding and I would have been happy with that but to just bare face lie about something is ridiculous. I'm actually a letting agent from another town moving home so I'm well aware of how the system works with some agents, but I was staggered by the depth of deceit from this office when the simple truth would have been quite acceptable.
Jut telling the truth would have been a good start. What sort of training are they getting where its preferable to lie to potential customers rather than telling them the truth?

22 May 2017As a landlord I had exactly the same problem here. Promises, promises all the time but no action. Complete waste of time. Eventually ex-employee admitted to me they lie in order to keep you 'happy'. They once even lied about a prospective tenant's job so I would accept her. Found later she only worked part time and couldn't afford the rent. Not the professional person I asked for. They promised they had checked it all out, which they had not. It caused loads of problems down the line. I never used them again and eventually let the properties myself, did all the credit and employment checks thoroughly, saving a fortune. I found the perfect tenant who stayed twelve years.

We placed our house on the market with them in April 2018, after our previous sale had fallen through the previous year. The Manager, Rob, had high hopes and put a chap named George in charge of the sale. Initially we had a viewing quite quickly but then all went quiet. E mails went unanswered as ... Read Full Review

Two points of gross issue. This agent left the back door unlocked after a reviewing. The property was unoccupied at the time, and it was insecure for a week. This voided my insurance. A letter of complaint went unanswered. Secondly, this agent allowed the buyer to move her possessions... Read Full Review
See above - don\'t void insurance with poor practice. Leaving a door unlocked is a gross failing. Allowing a buyer to store possessions in a house with no cover and no permission is a gross failing.
The house sold itself. It sold for 32 grand more than the highest valuation that the agent was initially willing to market it at - it sold for 12 grand more than my estimate.

Had contacted Bedford branch with interest to view property. I told the agent time which is suitable for me. However agent offered the time which didn't suit me, because I would needed to take day off from work. I ask them maybe it is possible to view on Saturday, still waiting for their answer. ... Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
