1 Mar 2019I would also like to add that anyone viewing First Port reviews should read all of them as they will be truly shocked by how this company operates. Also everyone should add comments to a relatable review as it truly does help leaseholders. My development is Phoenix House LE15JE and when they took me to court i won. This resulted in them paying my service charges, court fees etc. I have never made available my defence and J.B.Leitch (First Port solicitor) response. I myself did not use a solicitor. However due to the last 2 years of our manager Gary Cox i shall be making nearly 200 pages available in the very near future.

3 Apr 2019This will be super helpful to me. I have religiously payed my fees for the last 8 years and now due to a website processing error they have referred me to JB Leitch as well. The bill has gone from £380 to £980!!! Am I hell paying for their website fault!

8 Jul 2022The grounds do look nice on the estate where i live and don't mind paying fair costs but this company show little empathy or consideration for their customers. Their management charges are extortionate at times and worries us residents what we are going to end up paying moving forward. All we want is a decent service and fair charges which allows us to have value for money, Firstport to earn a fair profit for their management and the subcontractors to earn a fair wage for their services. Their greed could end up being the end of them as Firstport are known nationwide to be a really poor company in terms of ethics, transparency and customer focus.

7 Aug 2023Hello, I am a homeowner in a block managed by FirstPort, and I'm increasingly frustrated with their actions. They keep adding various charges on top of the already high annual service fee we pay. Recently, they have proposed changing the carpet despite receiving multiple letters from us expressing our disagreement, as the current carpet is in good condition. Unfortunately, our emails and letters have been ignored, leaving me feeling abused and neglected in my own property. I am at a loss as to what steps to take next. Have any of you faced a similar situation, and if so, were you able to resolve it? I would greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions on how to address this matter effectively. Thank you.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
