Comments on Agent Fees
Fairly exorbitant fees on start (£400), charging for contract renewal (£120) and exit of policy.

To start positive, they generally react to any problems that I have had a tenant after some explaining. They do organise any repairs that need to be done.
Have not found them very professional for instance, on several occasions they have emailed out of the blue and demanded a response within the day.
Outsourced and in depth checks on first contract which require full employment for the 12 months of the contract.

Just called Property Management to get some details about works that are due to be done on the property. I couldn't believe how pompous and rude the man on the other end of the phone was! He didn't even let me ask my question! He spoke over me, acted like I was an irritant, and told me to call back tomorrow to speak to someone else. I politely asked to speak to someone else - perhaps a manager, and what a shock to find out he IS the manager! Absolutely disgusted. I'll be finding the name and contact details of the company director asap to complain.

They dont reply to emails, letters. Minutes of meetings are handed out a year after the meeting has taken place, just before the next yearly meeting takes place. They seem to attend meetings just for the sake of attending. Yearly reports incorrect.

They seem to attend meetings just for the sake of attending. Yearly reports incorrect. Very disappointing, unable to clarify costs, very unfriendly. Our costs apparently will be going down but they increased the monthly fee for each apartment and when asked why, they just dont come back to a person. Just for you to know, we pay well over £200 per month for management fees! Its ridiculous. During meetings ignore people's queries to the point that other residents have to stop them and point this out. NO PROFESSIONALISM at all in various aspects. Very very disappointing, do not recommend them at all!!

Very old-fashioned. Possibly ok if you expect to sell to someone who walks through their door, dark ages as far as internet and photography goes. Very slow response to email, complete failure to keep promises of regular updates. It took months for them to correct their inaccurate particulars and they never improved on their 90s style photos (the sort where you see two thirds of the room in a triangle - most agents do better than this these days). It took about 4 months to get a floor plan in the paper particulars (the electronic ones weren't in use). It took about 6 months to post at all on Right Move. After we corrected the particulars it took about 6 months more to have them updated on the one website used.
After three months they suggested lowering the price not because prices had fallen in the past three months (which would have been reasonable) but because prices had fallen in the past 4 years (mostly irrelevant since we advertised at the price they had recommended 3 months previously). This is just laziness.
Gordon has no appreciation how poor his service is and no interest in learning about the modern way of buying and selling houses. He has 35 years' experience selling houses and no experience learning how times change. Tons of hassle to deal with and no result - partly because of the feeble use of modern technology.
