Disgusted by this company trying to retain our deposit despite the checkout report saying 'all good & fair wear & tear' ( apparently they employ a company to do the checkout reports but they don't have to take any notice Of said report, in other words SCAM!! ) when we took the lease this property was filthy ( urine streaked toilets, mouldy fridge & washing machine, filthy oven, we kept photos and reported it back to Touchstone, guess what? they didn't want to know. Fast forward 6 months & after a proper clean , we moved out. We were horrified to learn that Touchstone felt they could withhold £300 of our deposit which they claimed was for redecoration. Now imagine they try this on every tenant? .....SCAM? We disputed this ( presented our photos AGAIN) and we won. Full refund of deposit given. ADVICE TO ANYONE LEAVING A TOUCHSTONE PROPERTY, DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR VERSION OF YOUR CHECKOUT. KEEP PHOTOS AND RAISE A DISPUTE. IT COSTS NOTHING. I would never recommend a company that believes it' is ok to ignore its tenants & the company that they employ to do their checkout reports.

Things that were an emergency were never treated as an emergency (black mold, broken boiler, no hot water or heating, no kitchen floor). Yet Touchstone never seemed to bother! If I knew of anyone going with a Touchstone flat, I'd tell them not to - I could never recommend such an ignorant and callous property management company such as Touchstone. I couldn't wait for the day to leave the flat we stayed in with Touchstone, and it was bliss knowing I'd never be dealing with them or their incompetence again. At £630 a month rent, we felt royally ripped off.

It took touchstone over 2 years to repair our leaking roof. The roof allowed water to seep into one of the bedrooms which caused the ceiling to fill with mould. The agent I dealt with * was extremely incompetent and unhelpful. In fact she was so unhelpful It almost felt like she was taking enjoyment from it. The roof has now been fixed but two months on the scaffolding is still outside our house so we cannot open any of the windows at the front. Yet again * is of no help, I have called her multiple times to have the scaffolding removed. Everything she has an excuse and will call me back. Guess what she never calls back. How is this person still employed by touchstone? The best part is when you ask to make a complaint - * doesn't know what the complaint procedure is and tells me to speak to a welfare officer.

Horrible experience from start to finish. Only thing making up for their service it is that the flat is great and in a great location, but I wouldn’t have gone for it if I knew what to expect from touchstone. Rude, so hard to get hold of, it was an absolute pain to get my flatmate on the contract at all. Extremely poor communication, our property manager changed 3 times in a span of a year and not once were we notified - previous manager would just ignore the emails (they were still at the company). When we moved out, our third manager quit and didn’t tell us, I didn’t realise she didn’t pick up our check out documentation until I chased her and got an automated response that the email was no longer in use. We had to wait 6 months (wouldn’t even be able to count the emails and phone calls made over this issue) to get someone to fix our microwave. At the end they tried to charge us £440 for cleaning, but upon being asked to provide the final check out report they actually halved it, which made us think the initial costs were pulled out of nowhere. Would advise to stay away.

Approximately once a month a fire alarm will go off which can take anywhere between an hour to 5 hours to be switched off, usually in the early hours of the morning.
Communication is also very poor, answers to queries can take weeks to be answered, and records remain outdated (currently being held hostage until they get a previous tennent to email them so I can leave!)
