Terrible Experience – Poor Communication & Unprofessionalism!
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Tailors Estate Agents. I had a house viewing appointment scheduled, and after receiving multiple confirmations from the agent, I traveled a long way to attend. However, upon arriving at the property right on time, I was told that it had already been sold!
No one bothered to inform me in advance, wasting both my time and effort. When I asked an explanation, the staff started blaming each other within the organisation instead of taking responsibility. The lack of communication and professionalism was shocking. It’s clear that they do not value potential buyers' time or show basic courtesy.
I would not recommend Tailors Estate Agents to anyone looking a smooth and professional experience.

I was approached by Taylors Estate agents to purchase a property in Luton. I was originally looking for a nice apartment for myself. I was looking at different options but then Taylors showed me 2 bed apartment that was repossesed by the bank and currently on sale at a very attractive price. I never dealt with repossession houses before but estate agent convinced me that it's "almost the same" as usual sale and all will be fine. So I put forward the price and applied for a mortgage. After my offer was accepted, I was informed by Taylors that we have only 24 days to exchange the contracts! So all should be done ASAP. Guess what? I have arranged for conveyancing, and mortgage and bank valuation in less than 3 weeks, by paiyng higher fees for the speed. 4 days before valuation I've got a call from agents saying that seller has raised the price! But they are confident I will get this apartment if I can give a bit higher price. I raised it by £2k. 1 day later they said that another buyer is paying more. And then another 2k, & again 2k... No one cared that my offer was accepted earlier, solicitors instructed and mortgage approved. I was never told before thag the agent has no exclusivity over selling if this property. In 4 days, asking price went up by £10,000!! I was shocked. 1 day before banks valuation, I was left with no final offer confirmed by the agents and taylors offered me to go ahead with valuation, pay extra £350, and wait if my final price is accepted. §×-x? They never mentioned that my credit rating will go down should the sale fall through after banks valuation , and buyer ends up loosing credit rating! I wasted so much time, money and efforts for something which was rather auction advertised by tailors as '"standard easy sale". Almost lost my credit rating and lost £800 on legal fees. Never ever go with them. They would tell yiu anything to secure the deal, but would never care about what was initially agreed. They would change terms and never explain the risks involved. Don't use them! Save your time and money!

I was house hunting for over 10 months with very little positive results when my youngest encouraged me to view a nearby property marketed by Taylors. My girls, friend and I went but I was disappointed and told Jamie-Lee my expectations, she immediately said that she had a property she knew I'd like. She picked me up and drove us to exactly what I explained I was after.....she listened and delivered. I stood inside a property that ticked most of my boxes and I was relieved , offer accepted and the process is going through but I'm contented. It's fantastic when people listen and fulfill your expectations. Well done Jamie- Lee and Taylors of Stopsley, Luton, Bedfordshire. Thank you ð

I have moved several times and Taylor's proved to be, by far, the worst agent I have used. Outrageous. Communucation was rare enough but on those ocassions when someone did contact me to keep informed of progress they were always at least four hours behind my solicitor.

I have moved several times and Taylor's proved to be, by far, the worst agent I have used. A staff member made an offer on my house, well below asking price, and a buyer who went in to the office within 24hours of the staff offer to say he would pay the full asking price was told (incorrectly) that he couldn't. If he had not recognised my house and come to me directly I would never have known about the offer. I did complete the Taylor's survey and let them know what had happened and how disappointed I was. They did not even bother to respond. I do relate my experience to anyone I know who is moving and I am happy that, at the very least, three families I know have decided not to use Taylors.

Not worth it. They charge the same as the other local estate agents however their services are pathetic.

When we spoke to Ashley we asked for some additional terms to be added to the tenancy agreement. We were told we cannot change the agreement but we can add additional terms which they would get the tenant to sign before they move in. They didn't do this. And now according to their manger Lucinda this never happened and apparently we were told that the additional terms will just be given to the tenant, but they wouldn't get them signed. Basically don't listen to anything they say, ask for everything in writing. Also do not be rushed by them. They will push you to act fast...DONT. Take your time and make sure everything as per how you want it. In addition to this they got the tenant to pay them instead of us which then took them 2 months to sort out.

The manner in which customers were spoken to was an absolute disgrace, rude and undermining. An offer was not put forward to the seller. Valuations are not realistic. No communication within the team (manager not notified of offer) Avoidance techniques by manager No call backs They claim offers have been made on properties when they have actually been withdrawn They lied regarding the rent being charged at the property
