Absolutely shocking company that should not exist. big time rip offs, fees are too high for the level of "support" given. I was young, single and pregnant when i signed the contract (oct 2012) and gave birth a few days after i moved in. as soon as i left the hospital to live in the flat, i hit problems. After spending 2 days cleaning the filthy flat there were cracks in windows, mould and damp problems due to poorly sealed windows, hand rail on the stairs was coming away from wall. After falling down the stairs twice...with a baby, i reported the issue and with no avail, i had friends fall down the stairs as well, and on report 4, they finally sent someone who did a bodge job. no gas safety cert. was done when i moved in, oven was not working properly. the window in my babys room which was cracked took over 6 weeks to fix, the mould and damp problems were never fixed. THEN CAME THE RATS!!!!! i started to hear squeaks and scratching in the attic in spring last year (2013), reported it to taylors. was told they would not do anything, it was my problem to sort, i rang the council and they sent someone out who told me the rats had been there 3 YEARS prior to when i moved in. that disgusted me no end! i had the council out 3 times and i still had problems, it was that bad! i even found rat dropping IN and UNDER my baby's cot! when i informed Taylors, they couldn't care less, it was unbelievable! I then had problems with my ex, who had my front door key copied and kept trying to gain access to my flat, when i asked taylors to change the locks due to safety, they refused! Safe to say...I left the flat, but not before hitting more problems. They knew i was on holiday when my tennancy ended and i asked to have my pre-final inspection as my final as i was there when the pre-final inspection happened. On pre-final, the guy came out while i was mowing the front lawn. The flat was empty of my belongings as they were in storage. The guy said everything was fine, i told him what 2 rooms i re-decorated as it was so dark and shabby. he said it was fine. I told him i ripped the lino in the kitchen while moving the freezer, so i layed down £150 worth of laminate excluding labour, he said it was fine. i shown him the rat droppings in my babys room, he shrugged it off and did not batter an eyelid! how fucking rude! a week later, after i departed and was on holiday, they carried out a "final inspection". They stated i had now mown the lawn (they seen me doing it a week prior?), i changed the carpet on the stairs (errm...nope! contradicted their own inventory report) I re-decorated the bathroom and left stains (errm...nope! again contradiction in own report) left decorating equipment in a cupboard (again in original report) i left books and crap in the living room (was already there and belonged to landlady) he rat droppings in my child's room was "circumstantial evidence (what the bloody hell?!? also have photographic evidence and why the hell would someone plant rat shit? thats just revolting to even think about) and apparently i STOLE the fridge and freezer i paid £80 at the start of the tennancy and still have every single email sent back and forth to taylors. now they will not give me my deposit back claiming i "trashed the place", when i had it professionally cleaned. while conveying between myself and my guarantor, they have stated 3 different cleanup costs with a range of £800. They told me around £800, my guarantor £1100 and my guarantor's partner £1600. can they get any different?? They put it back on the market less than a week after i left...Hang on...if so much work needed doing, why was it let out immediately? and for a higher price! I am still fighting for my deposit a year later..... seriously, if you value your money and sanity, DO NOT invest with taylors!!!!!!!
