Avoid this agency. They do not even make sure the basic safety requirements are met. They take ages to do repairs and when they do it is half arsed. One of the worst agencies I've ever seen.
In November 2022, when I asked for early end of tenancy they agreed with me paying them an extra 3 months rents, promised that once they find new tenant they will refund me the rest of the rents as well as the deposits. However, up till now they have never contacted me for either the result of finding new tenant or the refund of my deposits. When I sent email asking about this, they ignored me and never replied. Whereas in the meantime, my another previous agency in Scotland has contacted me to refund me the extra fees I accidentally made, which once again reminds me of how low studentdigz's credits can be.
If you're a student especially an international student, never rent your accommodation with this untrustworthy company.

Absolutely terrible experience with StudentDigz. Most rooms in the house had not been completed and basic fixtures and fittings were missing. Had to stay with family and in hotel for a week before the house was anywhere close to living in. Emails never answered and when they promise someone will turn up next day (like plumber or electrician) you know you will have to wait about a week for anyone to turn up, but StudentDigz keep saying they’re coming today. Lies! Can’t wait until the day we are out of this house and I never have to deal with them again.

Never rent a StudentDigz property where utilities are included in the rent - we were excessively overcharged and exploited. The scheme is very expensive, miss managed and abused by StudentDigz. We paid £800 for utilities we didn't use, with StudentDigz charging an additional £667 for supposed excess usage. This is a scam.
TO STUDENTS: WARNING - LEARN FROM OUR EXPERIENCE: - The house rent included gas, water and electric. - We signed a StudentDigz 'Fair Usage Policy' â with a £2119.52 utilities allowance for 4 students in a house for 10 months. Usage above this amount was billable by StudentDigz. - They advised utilities under usage would be credited back to us. This never happened and they denied we were told this. - Glide, (the utilities company StudentDigz use), operate a payment plan which credits under usage and debits/charges for excess usage per utility. However, StudentDigz keep the credits and charge the debits per utility, with no reconciliation of the combined total in their 'Fair Usage Policy' allowance. - At the end of our tenancy StudentDigz billed us £667 excess usage (gas £468/electric £199) and £0 for water usage. - We received a copy of Glide's bill â which was estimated for gas/electric, not actual meter readings. The actual water reading was in credit by £213 â but StudentDigz did not include it in their calculation. - We challenged the excess charge and requested bills based on actual meter readings for gas/ electric. We calculated we were in credit by £800. - StudentDigz eventually emailed stating we now owed £253 for excess electric, and that Glide had âconfirmed they had a discrepancy in the reading for gasâ. That 'discrepancy' was our large credit, which StudentDigz concealed from us, in order to charge excess electric. - We challenged their excess electric bill. We were in credit for gas and water, calculating our total usage at £1,300 for all 3 utilities, well below their 'Fair Usage Policy' allowance of £2119.52. - We repeatedly requested a copy of the revised bill. StudentDigz then emailed stating they were âtrying to hold Glide responsibleâ and had âreceived a call to confirm Glide will deal with the over usage (for electric)â. This was nonsense â StudentDigz were attempting to mislead and cover their tracks for unfairly charging the electric excess. - We were initially charged £667 excess usage, when we were in utilities credit by £800 - in effect StudentDigz were charging us £1,467 for utilities we had not used. - StudentDigz kept our £800 credit â a very expensive lesson. - We never received a correct bill from StudentDigz. - StudentDigz receives a sizeable commission/fee from Glide for running the scheme, another consideration for students. - Finally, the property was grotty, rat infested and we had several weeks when we couldn't use the shower as water poured into the kitchen. Getting StudentDigz to respond to these issues proved very difficult. Not a company to be recommended.

I've never encountered worse letting agents than these, they lie constantly to get us to pay for various things, they pretend conversations didn't happen, they lied about parts of the house and area, saying it was safe. The ceiling fell down as soon as I moved in, my car got stolen twice,t he house got broken into a few times and there were people killed in this area, with a lot of other stabbing incidents. Not safe. They come into the house when we have told them not to, there is no privacy from them, they use blackmail to get what they want by threatening one housemate against the other, they're sketchy, seriously be careful, I'd never go back to them again, you couldn't pay me to and if you like your sanity or mental stability, I'd recommend you do the same.

When going in to their office, because they were not responding to anything we were asking of them, they were sat around their computers bitching about a tennant who had just left. This is highly unprofessional, especially infront of other customers. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Everyone who I have spoken to about Student Digz has had horrible experiences with them and I recommend if you are at Swansea uni going through SAS lettings instead. (There are no agency fees either through SAS). The company completly takes advantage of students. If the council knew half of the things they were doing (and not doing) they'd be shut down. Some students are making a page about letting agencies in Swansea for people to voice their complaints and put pressure on companies that have no respect for their tennants, I know the main one that will be discussed will be student digz. Also many of their 5 star reviews on Google are from fake accounts.

Bad, terribly expensive. They do nothing for it, do not reply to emails, phone them and they pretend the conversation never happened. Send them pics of dead mouse in the house and they say it doesn't exist.

This was the worst nightmare of housing. I do not have one positive thing to say about this company. When we moved in there was mouse droppings all in the cupboards and my room, as well as chicken bones which is utterly disgusting. There was a dead mouse on the 'living room' which even with pictures rs sent to the agency, they still said it didn't exist. Living there made me so ill. Nothing was cleaned before moving forward in, definately not the 'professional standard' promised in the contract. In the kitchen we could only use one utensil at a time (ie. Kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, big hob) otherwise the electricity to the rest of the house would cut out. Both of the showers would leak, the bathtub one would leak through the fire alarm like a tap. It took months to sort this out. The smaller shower would leak into the hallway below. There was a small toilet downstairs that we could never open because of massive lumps in the carpet. It smelt of shit and mould which when walking through the corridor to the kitchen was disgusting, and we couldn't even get to it to clean it. Mice ate through my cupboard. Cleaners they finally sent used my tea towel to clean off rust off the oven and mouse droppings and used my own products. After 6 months they finally sent someone to fix the leak in the showers. They sent us a bill and told us it was because we had the shower facing the wall - which wasn't the case. They sent us the bill a month after the due date so sent us a late fee also. The electricity or mouse problem never got sorted. Now we have moved out they are telling us we went nearly £2000 over our fair usage of electricity. There was only four of us in the house and we were really careful with electricity so this can't be right. Even so, they do not reply to emails, or if you call them they agree to things and soon as you put the phone down they pretend the conversation never happened. With emails they are so unprofessional, not even using punctuation, and are so incredibly rude. They have given me so much stress and panic attacks this year. Who knows if we will ever get our deposits back. We paid £370 each deposit. Only £370 in total went into the DPS deposit account, just over £1000 'missing'. It's a living nightmare. If you have any tips for getting our money back please say. Thanks for reading.

Checking in: did not receive any information regarding how and where to collect keys - had to chase the company up multiple times to get a response.
During the tenancy: estate agents did nothing about the apartment being vulnerable after a break in attempt.
Checking out: received check out instructions from the agency, ONE MONTH after leaving the apartment. Contacted them numerous times to enquire when the deposit will be returned - received nothing. After TWO MONTHS, was told that I need to submit a request to the Deposit Protection Service (DPS) for the deposit to be returned. Did not even receive the account activation email for DPS until I got this reply from the company - was the account even set up until I asked?
Bottom line: terrible service. I am used to incompetent estate agents from my time spent in London, but this has set a new low.

Tried but unable to communicate. Reported to Rent Smart Wales as they failed to keep any promises, refused to be recorded and also told me that "they would speak to me and not me to them". Should be 0 stars.

Go with a private landlord!! With Studentdigz it's very difficult to get anything in the house fixed, agency is very unhelpful and every minor issue takes many calls and emails until something is done/attempted to be done to the issue. We had a mice problem and their response was âthere's mice in every house in the UK, if they come out of their nests it's your faultâ, whilst our house is cleaner than any other student property I have seen and there's signs that the previous tenants had mice as well. Also first plumber who came from studentdigz told our leaking toilet is normal and left. I was thinking I'm being safe going with an agency but feel I haven't gotten anything in return for the £75 fee paid.
