Found a dream house on Rightmove. Got particulars taken down, all was good. Very positive, Excitedly rang again a few days later, they took the details again, someone got rejected, we were next. Found a dream house on Rightmove. Got particulars taken down, all was good. Very positive, Excitedly rang again a few days later, they took the details again, someone got rejected, we were next. Checked a week later - all good. Came off rightmove. Got nervous - checked today...no record of us WHATSOEVER. We mentioned we had cats again - for the THIRD TIME to the THIRD AGENT. Suddenly this is a deal breaking issue. Also 50 people have now booked ahead of us, as they didn't record our 3 serious enquiries - scuppering any chance we had of this dream house. Absolutely unacceptably disorganised. Livid is not even close right now. We are fuming. Not a great first impression, will try to avoid from now on. This web form has recorded more data about us than they bothered to.

Hello I've let two properties with this company and both properties have sustained damage through neglect from theirs tenants, as a company their management policies seem to be get the owner/landlord to pay for the damage as this seems to be the easier root to take knowing full well this is your livelihood ,when confronted with these concerns they are rude dismissive and frankly do not care the only thing they seem to manage very well is (getting their money )this company even with photographic evidence will not try to get your money back through the deposit that they took to begin with and the £100 a time for photos which was meant to be used in times of disputes.( ps if you value your hard earned property and money do not let this company manage it do it yourself if you can this company charges a lot for absolutely nothing

Extortionate. £300 for a standard tenancy agreement which must have taken all of 5 mintues to print off. £120 for an inventory of an unfurnished property? £75 credit check, can be done for far less.

Stuck in a bad situation * and needing to leave asap. Went to view a lovely property which ticked all the boxes and available within a few weeks. Agent friendly but stressing the amount of interest in the property meant it would probably be gone by end of the day. So I put a deposit down. I found out the next day the property was for sale (although neighbours said they had removed the for sale sign before potential viewings) and was rightly concerned what this would mean for me as the new tenant. My gut said to back out and after voicing my concerns as I wanted somewhere to settle with my one year old son, I was reassured it would only be sold to an investor, it would have no affect on me whatsoever. Two months later the property is sold and I have to leave. Broke with no money for removals or more extortionate fees to move into another property, thanks guys!

I asked specifically for a Charities Act valuation, making it clear I would not be marketing the property through S&C. I gave them my London address and that of my solicitors and asked them to send the valuation to both addresses, to which they agreed. I said I was prepared to pay a fee for the valuation, but they waived this. After James Davies came and looked at the house on 29 April I heard nothing more. I contacted them on 26 May and they told me they would ring me back. I phoned them again on 27 May and they told me they had posted the valuation to the Liskeard address; they did not seem to know about posting it to the solicitors. No valuation had turned up at the Liskeard address, and the solicitors never received one. When I asked when I would get the valuation, they told me they would hand-deliver it that or the next day. By 3:30 pm on 28 May no valuation had arrived; I went to their office, where they said nothing could be done as the staff member responsible was out; he returned while I was there and promised to hand-deliver it in 20 minutes (the valuation had obviously never been written up or he could have printed it right away). When it did turn up half an hour later, it was NOT the Charity Act valuation I had asked for, but a single sheet letter that specifically stated that 'this by no means constitutes a formal valuation', even though that was what I had requested. I am disgusted by their inefficiency, unreliability, and lack of attention to what they were asked to do, and will now have to get the valuation done all over again by someone else -- they have wasted 4 weeks of my time.

Booked a viewing with them, we were the last viewing on that morning. The agent who was at the property was just about to leave as she didnt think she had any more viewings, so luckily she hadnt left! Anyway the details on the website about this property are very misleading. It states that it has a garden - it does, but its not attached to the house?! Its past the house next door and down a pathway. Strange? Well apparently if you live in Cornwall and your not in a town this is the most common place to have your garden...according to the agent. The website states that it has 2 ensuite bedrooms, what it doesnt tell you is that it is the only way to access the bathrooms - through bedrooms only. The agent on the visit couldnt answer any of our questions - she didnt know who the landlord was, if white goods were included or how the property was heated....pretty standard questions I would say.
Over the phone prior to booking they couldnt tell me the exact cost of fees, they do that after you have viewed. Basically that is because they are insane, they add up to approx £350. SO NOW YOU ALL KNOW.
I would avoid this agent. I really woudnt have any confidence in renting from them if the viewing goes so badly.
