All are reject for construction problem not my problem. I pay the life time mortgage for my advisor told me that you will get mortgage that why i sign from contract .who is advisor you will get it so i sign and they drown the mortgage their seif ,no review for their side ,take from me money 750 pound 28/march /2024. My advisor told me he will chasing now and still and all are sleeping in the bed ? take time and no more refund back money .if i cannot get anything and without refund back money750 pound i will write in every where in 750 time.one day one pound for your company. i find the money without sleeping cannot lose single money .please be respect for people who trust your company and take the responsibility. Who at Peter When i call these things i sometimes wonder if ive got a crossed line with Fraggle Rock, I have never dealt with such a fraudulent, lying, useless bunch as Peter Alan before. Landlords avoid Peter Alan at all costs. Below is a few of the many issues i have had with Peter Alan 1) Peter Alan lie to Landords about tenants financial circumstances just so Landlords have to pay them the £400 tenant find fee. Peter Alan cardiff told me the tenants rent was guaranteed by Cardiff Council and then Peter Alan Cardiff moved in someone who didnt pay. When you complain to Peter Alan Cardiff that you are not receiving the rent the Peter Alan said was guaranteed Peter Alan just cancel the management of the property with immediate effect just so they dont have to deal with it. 2) Peter Alan withheld rent money from me and i had to issue legal paperwork to Peter Alan get the money that was rightfully mine. 3) Peter Alan refused to post out the keys for my properties for 6 months 4) Peter Alan Cardiif lost the keys for one of my properties and I had to issue a county court summons to Peter Alan estate agents to reclaim the cost of the locksmith Peter Alan cardiff refused to repay this for over 6 months and only paid after i issued a court summons to Peter Alan estate agents. 4) Peter Alan Estate agents Cardiff dont pay their subcontractors who do work for them for 6 months. 5) When offers of rent payments are made Peter Alan dont call back to arrange the payments leaving the Landlord out of pocket. Landlords do not trust Peter Alan with your properties.

I’ve rented through Peter Alan (formerly Roberts & Co) for nearly six years, and the service has been absolutely appalling throughout. In 30 years of living in rented accommodation, I have never dealt with such an unprofessional, incompetent, and disorganised organisation.
In my time renting through Peter Alan, I was a dream tenant - a professional, full time employed by the same company for over twenty years – I never missed a single rent payment, and very rarely contacted them for maintenance issues – preferring to tackle minor issues myself. I passed all regular inspections with flying colours, because I treated the property like it was my own.
To be nearer my partner, I made the decision to move from the property earlier this year, and this is where Peter Alan showed themselves to be a woefully inept organisation. Having served the required one month’s notice, they advised me that I had to actually give closer to two months’ notice to align with my tenancy agreement. I told them that this was nonsense, but they persisted with this line – even sending me letters dictating when my end date would be. I asked them to show me in my tenancy agreement where this clause was as I could not see it. It was then that I received a very sheepish reply from them to say that they couldn’t find the clause either, and therefore my original notice period of one month was valid.
They then arranged an inspection of the property. I had given myself a two week overlap to ensure that I had enough time to thoroughly clean the property, and spent many hours doing this. The property was absolutely spotless, albeit with some minor wear and tear expected after a six month tenancy in which no maintenance or decorating had taken place. They sent in an independent contractor to complete the inspection, and I accompanied the gentleman as he went about his work. He commented throughout on how clean the place was, and I asked him specifically whether he could see anything that would likely lead to deductions from my bond. He replied that the place looked “Spotless” and that he felt I would receive my deposit back in full.
It was with some surprise then that I received a check out report from Peter Alan detailing a number of defects that they felt would warrant deductions from my deposit. These included a hair on the toilet (seriously!) and some streaks on the shower door glass - things that would take ten seconds to correct with a wet wipe. They then advised me that a deduction of £95 would be made for these defects!! I asked for the balance of my deposit back, and there then followed a protracted email conversation in which they tried to bully me into accepting the £95 deduction – citing my request for the balance of my deposit as agreement to the deduction. The tone of these email conversations were absolutely deplorable – they have nothing but contempt for the tenants on their books, and are only interested in grabbing as much money off them as possible. I fought this deduction all the way, eventually having to refer the matter to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme Adjudicator who awarded in my favour.
I’d also say “Beware” if you’re a landlord looking to place your property in the hands of these incompetent fools. Throughout my tenancy I was seeking to obtain a spare key. As the key I held was a secure key and could not be duplicated, I needed the landlord’s assistance to do this. Peter Alan couldn’t organise this – in nearly six years I went around in circles. When I had served notice and they wanted access to the property to facilitate viewings, it then transpired that they “Misplaced” a number of spare keys provided by the landlord.
So to sum up – if I were a tenant, I would avoid Peter Alan – and particular the Newport Branch like the plague. Save yourself the frustration of dealing with staff who frankly would struggle to run a lemonade stand (they would probably misplace the lemons) and find another agent. The staff I dealt with (you know who you are) should be eternally amazed that they are able to earn a wage while performing at such an appallingly low level, and I strongly suggest that senior management put these staff through some extensive training as soon as possible – they are seriously damaging your business. As a Senior Manager in a service organisation myself, these staff would have had their P45 in very short order – as Customer Services is clearly not right for them.

I found their staff very helpful with plenty of entheusiasm to find a tenant for the property. Within a week, several potentail tenants had visited the property leading to a succeful conclusion the following week. Special mention to Stevie - Jaye who was tireless in her efforts to secure a tenant. Nick Blight for his knowledge and understanding of the local rental market. Finally thanks to Lisa for tying up the paperwork and tenancy agreement. All the staff are friendly and more than helpful in supporting you as a landlord. Superb job done by all - thankyou!

Finding the right Agent to manage your property is no easy. Nic Blight in the Newport has always been Competent and professional unfortunaley on many occasions other staff have let him down. Fortunately Dafydd Williams has now taken over our properties . This pleasant humble your man reports back to us follows up any requests we have made answers email immediately . We have in recent months considered finding another Agent but we will be staying with Peter Allan now Dafydd is part of Nics team and our portfolio manager. My advice to Peter Allan put underperforming staff on a training programme which will bring their skills somewhere near to Dafydd,s . When recruiting new Staff please appointment Staff like Dafydd who will keep customer,s like ourselves .

Very disappointed with Peter Alan. So much so that as soon as the contract ended we left and are looking for another estate agent. They failed us in so many ways: > No contact - were promised status reports, none ever came > Took them over a week to get the property on right move > Quite often couldn't get through to anyone on the phone > Very few viewings (if I couldn't get hold of them not surprised that prospective buyers couldn't) > Had to ring on several occasions to find out if we had any viewings > Had to ring after viewings for feedback > Turned up late to viewings on several occasions
The only positive I will say is that the girls in the office are friendly. But that doesn't make up for the overall lack of support and effort to sell the house!
