O'Connor Bowden has been handling our buy to let flat in Manchester from 2005. In difficult markets, they have found us tenants very quickly. O'Connor Bowden has been handling our buy to let flat in Manchester from 2005. In difficult markets, they have found us tenants very quickly. In strong markets, they have not only found us tenants quickly, but also negotiated rent increases. They are very conscientious as well with repairs, and shop around for better pricing. I strongly recommend using them as they have been efficient and very professional.

I rarely leave reviews or comments and I don't know about their letting service but definitely avoid buying property from them or through them. Broken promises, none responsive, working with shady developers, don't know how they are ever allowed to sell properties. Legal action will... Read Full Review

I rarely leave reviews or comments and I don't know about their letting service but definitely avoid buying property from them or through them. Broken promises, none responsive, working with shady developers, don't know how they are ever allowed to sell properties. Legal action will undoubtedly be taken but avoid them at all costs. Will save you time and money.

Unfortunately I have to echo the previous reviewer who warned "o be avoided!...". I had a water leakage and electrical damage from the flat above and despite constant promises from O'Connor Bowden no action was taken. Emails were ignored, excuses were made over the phone and after endless weeks of frustration and fruitless communications, I ended up paying for the repairs out of my own pocket myself. So yes, best avoided

Not had the best experience with O'Connor Bowden from the start. On a personal level they appear helpful however fundamentally they cannot seem to do their job in managing let properties. Not had the best experience with O'Connor Bowden from the start. On a personal level they appear helpful however fundamentally they cannot seem to do their job in managing let properties. Several times we've had to chase outstanding issues whether it be maintenance, contracts or renewing the lease. Their communication is poor and you can expect to be passed around to several people before you actually get somewhere with an issue however we are still waiting for minor maintenance issues to be resolved nearly 18 months later... the flat itself is lovely and we have not had any problems with the landlord however it seems O'Connor Bowden are now realising their general incompetence and handing over the management to another company (which we were never informed of and I had to ring to confirm)

If I could leave this as 0 stars I would! Hands down the worst Agents you could ever imagine to have to deal with! Prior to moving into the property, which was a development of new build flats in Sale, they were disorganised, didn't respond to emails or phone calls, continuously lied to us and then put the price of rent up by £100 a week before we were due to move in! Upon moving out, they have now tried to keep a large amount of our deposit for items which should be classed as general wear and tear or for problems which simply don't exist!
