Renting through them in April was a terrible experience. I was very disappointed. I didn't get the professional help I needed, and it seems they might conceal things from tenants. They rushed the payment and signing of the agreement. During the viewing, they promised everything would be clean and functional, but it wasn't when I moved in. Many appliances were broken, and several windows couldn't open. They claimed there was a garage but couldn't show it because they lacked the key. When I asked to add the garage number to the agreement, they refused, citing it couldn't be changed. It's frustrating that such a simple request wasn't accommodated in an unsigned agreement. They explained it was a standard tenancy agreement, not personalized for me. There are more issues I could mention, but in short, I strongly advise against using their services. From my experience: don't trust any agent blindly and carefully review the inventory list and tenancy agreement before signing.

Totally incompetent letting agent. they put a tenant in my property, did not check them in, failed to draw up an inventory, telling the tenant to make a video. Failed to give the tenant details of maintenance agreements I had with contractors. One week after a block sink had been reported they had still not instructed a plumber. Failed to carry out regular inspections and reports of the flat, but still charged me. AVOID THIS COMPANY

We had to leave the property eventually and they advised us that landlord had instructed them to swallow the full 2250£ deposit. Sadly, they said different things behind the scenes and indulged into dirty politics of referring our case to Croydon branch. Not sure how they justified managing the property when they were so spineless...

The agents were never interested in our offers and we were informed 2 weeks after placing our final offer that it was the highest and would inform us that evening only to have Tony stuttering on the phone saying he couldn't discuss offers and what's gone on today and should the survey not be completed in 7 days the vendor would be interested in us.

There was a complete lack of transparency and utter lack of code of conduct from the sales team.
I would never view a house managed by leaders again and would discourage anyone from bidding with them.

two months back after burglary lost adjusters have agreed for the settlement and insurance still have not paid now refusing to pay.
now I have to deal with guernsey financial commission.
so far all parties are giving misleading information I have raised complaint with leaders customer relations.
please if anyone taken a same policy be careful we have gone through hell

We rented a house through Leaders for 18 months and generally had a good experience with them. Any repairs that needed doing were sorted, but communication could be a bit slow sometimes. Lisa who did the regular property checks was lovely and a credit to Leaders. We appreciated her honesty. The reason for the 3 stars is that we really should have been told the landlord returns regularly from overseas to stay at the property. The house was marketed as a family home and if we had known the landlord did this, we never would have rented it. The house is more like a short let property but this was kept from us and we were under the impression from them that we could stay long term. We were sent a very blunt email (which really annoyed me) 9 months into the tenancy to inform us we would have to move out. Fair enough, we were given plenty of notice but we’d only just settled in at that point & gotten used to the area. The house just didn’t feel like a home after that which is very sad. Especially when you have a young child. Leaders didn’t even offer to email or call us when new houses came on the market. We did ask and were told we’d get a call back. We never did. Looking back, it all just felt a bit ‘hotel-like’. We were told to ‘Enjoy your stay’ when we moved in which I felt sounded odd when moving into a new house. It now makes perfect sense. At the end, we were sent a ‘check-out’ list which I felt the required cleaning was very unreasonable. The house was not even professionally cleaned when we moved in but after questioning this, I was instructed to refer to the inventory and leave it in the condition it was when we moved in. Well, I couldn’t do that because we’d most likely get charged. I paid £220 for an end of tenancy clean and left the house cleaner than it originally was. What made me laugh was that this was noted down as an ‘issue’ on the check-out report. The list is also a bit outdated. ‘Cancel milk & newspapers’? Very retro! I’ll just pop back to 1992 and make sure I do that. Perhaps now we have left, Leaders can get on to the landlord about fixing the place up. Especially the roof which has big solid pieces falling off into the garden. The roofer who looked at it recently said it was very dangerous and to not let our child play outside because of it. We never heard from him again, possibly because the landlord refused. Looking back, he refused other things regarding the safety of my child. Don’t market the house as a family home then! He clearly doesn’t give a rat’s a** about his property. We heard the last time he came back to stay at the property, he left it in such a state with pizza boxes & beer bottles everywhere. A lovely surprise for the new tenants moving in the next day! We didn’t appreciate his sarcastic responses too, basically implying we didn’t understand the concept of how a hot tap works. The tap is broken...just fix it already! After that we felt it was a very, very good thing we had to move out and we found a more family friendly home direct with the landlord (who actually cares about their property!). I sincerely hope the landlord will sort that roof out before renting the house out again. And the utterly rubbish boiler! Lost count of how many repairs it needed. I will definitely not miss how disgustingly hot the upstairs got in the summer. Nothing could cool it down. Then in winter it was freezing with the heating on full blast. Something not quite right there! A little time and money can really do wonders on that house! Even Leaders have commented on how tired & dated the place is and that the landlord should fix it up for tenants who pay SO much money to live in it. You’d think we were living in it for free! Push him to do it, Leaders! Your tenants will appreciate it! Better yet, stop doing business with him. I understand it’s not your fault but this all affects your reputation too. I felt I should leave a GENUINE and HONEST review about our experience. The internet is filled with fake reviews for estate agents. Nobody would write that stuff really, come on! The deception!

Disgraceful company. We were tenants for over 6 years managed by Leaders, more importantly, Christine Reed of Leaders Sutton branch. We paid 6 months rent in advance twice a year, on time, everytime. We were never a problem. We treated the house like our own. 6 years on, we finally saved for our own house and agreed with the landlord to leave 1 month early - she agreed to refund us one full month. Christine Reed has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. I have to call 3 times a day, and shes either 'out for lunch', 'on the phone' or 'not in the office'. Obviously, a lame excuse to avoid my calls because I'm not bringing her any new commission. Absolutely disgraceful, I hope Leaders management see this and fire that moron!

Leaders, are comfortably the worst property agent I have ever dealt with. They do nothing for their agent fees, to the point they try to get landlords/tenants to do the work they should be doing and they never complete anything regarding problems you may face.
They ignore communications, aren't helpful and seriously have caused so much distress for my family. It is a very badly run business, to the point that the manager was aggressive and confrontational to complaints we had raised regarding the fact they were not answering our calls, or advising us two days before we were due to move in.
None of the agreed promises were kept, when they do respond they give half hearted replies and no real solution.
Overall, I would avoid at all costs, whether you are a landlord or tenant.

Leaders in Sutton, Surrey do not look after their landlords, especially after Jacqui left.
They were unable to tell if the tenants were subletting after multiple inspections although only it took me a few moments my one visit (by looking at the mail). They were very unsupportive when I decided to claim (successfully) against the deposit for the multiple damages to the point which they appeared to be taking sides with the tenants.
For basic explanation of the monthly statement, I was spoken to abruptly and even rudely that I had to complain to the manager.
Over the course of the tenancy, I did not feel that they were justifiably earning their fees.
As soon as the tenants moved out, I changed letting agencies.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Get proper training about treating customers. Get some essential human communication skills and politeness.

In my recent experience I found their staff rude and unprofessional. This is possibly not true for all of them but the experience I had with Jackie (the manager there I think) and a few others brought me here in a really bad mood.
Apart from having no manners at all, this employee was getting personal and insulting while I was viewing a property with her, implying that she was doing me a favour for letting me view the property by also bringing up comments about my personal life, implying that this property is not suitable for me and that she would let the landlord know all the details about me (!) that would prevent them from letting the property. After the viewing, she did not even consider proposing to give me a lift with her company car. This is the first time I had such a disappointing personal experience with a letting agent.
When I complained to one of the staff back at their office about this unprofessionalism, they replied that she is the manager and that if I do not like something, there are other letting agents in Sutton where I can go (!). Well, I certainly will! I although felt I should really talk about my experience with them. I hope they get proper training some day and start treating clients properly!

I was very pleased to use Leaders Sutton as they were so efficient in helping me find a property, moved in and in such short notice. Michael was so professional and kept us informed of how far into the process we were. Michael was also very efficient with preparing the paperwork and having all items in place. Julie was also professional with the Tenancy Agreement as there was a little mistake but all was corrected quickly and efficiently. Fast, Effective, Polite and Professional.
I continue to use Leaders due to their excellent service and particularly because of my positive experience and dealings with Majella in property management.
No question is left unanswered, she communicates exceptionally well with me and it feels like a personal service despite clearly having lots of properties on their books. Her attention to detail and persistence are undisputable, and become an excellent trait when or if a dispute occurs.
She galvanises ones faith in Leaders and I have yet to find a company with an individual of this caliber in propert management.

I had rented a beautiful apartment from Leaders Letting agency at Sutton for years. I had rented a beautiful apartment from Leaders Letting agency at Sutton for years. From the very first interaction, the dealings with the Leaders was very uncomfortable as they are very rude and unprofessional in their dealings, they just make you feel that you are a tenant so you are at their mercy. First I thought it could be that one person. But after several years I have comminicated with more than 5 people who were managing the property and I have reached to the conclusion that it is their culture at the Sutton Branch. I am with another letting agent at the moment even though I really loved the apartment I couldn't take them any longer. I never contacted them unless it was unavoidable. They do not respect tenants, treat you like pests, ignore your requests and tell you - that their only job is to work for the landlord. For example, last year when the winter started the central heating and hot water system in the apartment started having problems as it would stop working intermittently. I informed them immediately, they never bothered to fix it until after 2 months, which was after a series of calls and emails. It was very difficult to live in the apartment during that time without hot water.

Leaders periodically check my property during the tenancy and I get a written report of the inspection afterwards advising if the tenant is looking after my property or if anything needs repairing or replacing. I never have to worry about bad tenants.
The members of staff are experts in their field, particularly Christine Reed, and it is always a pleasure to deal with her. Whatever my question I can be sure that Christine will get back to me within a day to expertly deal with my query. In the end I know that I can always leave the problem in her capable hands.
I would never use any other letting agent to look after my property and do highly recommend them.
