Whilst communication was average at best, my local office came across frustrated and completely uncaring for my genuine concerns - I had to intervene myself because I had lost trust in my agent. A poor subjective character assessment of tenants and woeful lack of care or attention during routine property inspections allowed the property to decline under their Fully Managed scheme. The house had been allowed to be poorly repainted, including the kitchen cabinets (to a different colour), causing £4K worth of recovery work. The degradation of the property has been masked under the rule of ‘fair wear and tear’. The property manager was reluctant to take on any responsibility for a blatant flouting of the rule book. They’ve lost my trust and I wouldn’t recommend their service to anyone. Deeply underwhelming inability to sustain a simple service and an inability to take responsibility for a series of poor inspections.

I feel the agent has taken the path of least resistance and could have offered an apology, especially on behalf of the inspecting agent who missed so much detail in the course of their work. Comments (0)1 Star I felt was too much for this estate agents after hearing about there No deposit Scheme I thought it was a brilliant idea and an easy way to leave home and stand on my own two feet at a young age. On first arrival to the property in November 2018 a few things we're not up to scratch, for example no hot water upstairs or downstairs, back door didn't lock, window seals had blown, with a baby on the way due (April 2019) I felt certain things needed addressing ASAP (Water, Doors, Windows) again I persisted to contact Amy (Leaders Property Manager) it wasn't until the end of April nearly 3 weeks after our baby was born the hot water issue was fixed meaning we would have to travel to our parent's house to bath our newborn! Crazy I know! The house was inspected at 6 Months at which point I mentioned there was severe mould in the kitchen due to a pipe that had burst in the wall causing the wall to become saturated and damp constantly, I was told it wouldn't be addressed as the landlord had been informed before but due to the cost wouldn't have it completed ? finally another 6 months passes and we can leave the property ? upon leaving the property a thorough clean was completed by a Third Party company even the carpets were cleaned as per the agreement! This is where things become interesting!!!!!!! We never had any pets in the property as it started on both the 6 month check and inventory check? Amy at Leaders persisted that they wanted to claim for a carpet clean due to the smell of dog at £100.00 which in actual fact was damp that had been left for nearly 7 months at this point from a leaky pipe you can imagine the amount of water in this wall!! They also hit us with a fee of £160.00 to have 2 curtain poles screwed back into the wall and a battery fitted in the smoke alarm as we took them down to re paint the property to make it look new again for the following tenants! And one more fee of £50.00 to clean the toilet as there was a bit of lime scale totalling of £310.00 I explained to Amy at Gosport Leaders branch that I wasn’t prepared to pay for the carpet cleaning as it had already been done and there was no dogs present as per the 6 month and 12 month reports said at which point I received an email stating that if I took responsibility for the cleaning and repairs she would speak to the landlord to see if she would remove the costs for the carpet clean, failing this it would be sent to there arbitrator costing me £120.00 on top!! At which point I wouldn’t admit liability so they just raised a complaint of course when this was raised due to the supporting evidence I had immediately the carpet clean fee was waived just like I knew it would be ?? but leaders got what they wanted as I still had to pay £120.00

We have been with leaders around 10 years. Thankfully we will not have to put up with them any longer. I gave them one star because I had to. We have had 3 houses with them and was stitched up with costs when we moved out of the last one. I cancelled an inspection once as ill. They let themselves in and nearly gave me a heat attack. When we were told our house is being sold she couldn't have sounded more happy. Staff are rude and have no idea what they are doing. Today I received an email stating I owed £60 for fees from 2014!!!!! Take my advice and avoid leaders at all cost.

Avoid this lot like the plague....
All estate agents have a tendency to lie, but this bunch really do exceed all expectations in a negative way.
I am a sitting tenant in a property (not let or managed by leaders) and unfortunately our private landlord has to sell, which they are doing through Leaders.
It would appear that because we are tenants they feel they can call us and TELL us when they are doing viewings, and when I have the nerve to complain I am told that I am rude, uncooperative and a liar.
They did a viewing today with a lady who was obviously looking to buy to live in, when I called them and explained that it is a buy to let property and as tenants we will be staying I was told by "Jessica" (who claims to be the sales manager but sounds about 21) that it is being sold with vacant possession I suggested that she check her facts and get her house in order, to which I received sarcasm and rudeness.
I would honestly advise anyone to give this bunch of amateur clowns a VERY wide berth !
