An ongoing list of poor experiences left us feeling this could possibly the worst agent for quite some radius. Hard to get hold of, slow to respond to anything, little action to see issues through to resolution and little to no support in having our deposit returned.
Aside from the utility issues, the final straw is waiting for deposit for 4 weeks with no confirmation of when it can be expected. Next step is legal contact for what I can only summarise as complete failure to fulfill statutory requirements.
We did not even receive a reply from the national complaints department.
Three words to sum up are poor, disappointing and unsatisfactory.

Admittedly, after reading some reviews, I was feeling nervous about using Leaders. However, I'm very pleased we did. They found us a lovely flat which suits all our needs. The process was exceedingly easy and they guided us through the process of viewing flats to application.
I did not personally have much interaction with Kirsty but my partner did and he reported she was professional and extremely helpful. He felt she rapport built nicely and was attentive to phone calls, questions and emails.
Jasmine showed us around the flat, she was on-time, friendly and knew all the answers to questions we had. She showed us around, giving us information about the local area and explained how the carpets were being changed (which was helpful to know).
Overall, a really professional and accommodating company.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Perry Bishop do not advise you how closely you should be looking at the property when you move in. They will zoom in on the corner and photograph any odd hairs or specks of dust when tenants move out. Perry Bishop should either take more normal general photos upon tenants moving out or scrutinise the property to that harsher degree upon people moving in. That's only fair right!

Upon the owner deciding to sell we were given our notice, we had the property redecorated top to bottom by a professional decorator and still Perry Bishop told us the property was not in an acceptable condition.
They wanted to retain £340.00 from our deposit! I could not believe it when I first read the email with their list of complaints. They had the cheek to mention the dustpan being dusty - yes we cleaned with it!!! They complained that the skirting boards were dirty -definitely not dirty, freshly painted more like!!!
I hope this review gets read by lots of people - Don't rent from Perry Bishop in Cirencester!
They are out to make money and holding onto your deposit is easy money!
Nobody should be put under the amount of stress we were. We have obviously negotiated a better settlement but in order to close the matter we have ended up loosing some of our deposit. Frankly the property is in a better condition now than when we moved in - they should have paid us!
Nobody should be put under the amount of stress that we were. Told to move out asap as the landlord wishes to sell and then told they will retain half your deposit even though its been fully renovated!
Ps. If anybody working for Perry Bishop reads this, a piece of friendly advice. Address emails formally or as your clients have signed off. Nobody appreciates being addressed by a nickname from someone unknown. It gets your back up before you've even begun to read the email!

I wish I had come across this website before we decided to rent through Perry Bishop.
After being in our rental property for 4 months we asked the Agents (Perry Bishop/Leaders) to speak to the landlord about an early release. We were not happy about several changes to the property in the initial contract period.
We heard noting until 2 weeks later, where Marie Ann telephoned me and asked if we would like to be released from our contract a month early as the Landlord had someone that wanted to move in to the property one month before our contract run out. We were delighted to accept this deal and sent by email and letter, notice to end the rental, by mutual agreement at no extra cost to us.
The next morning I telephoned the agents to confirm they had received the letter and email the day before. They acknowledged this, but then informed me that the Landlord had changed their mind and we could no longer leave a month early unless we paid the extra month!
They had the cheek to say we were in the wrong and not them (acting as the Landlords agent), expecting the new agreement to stand. We had contacted our new Agents and informed them that we would be moving into the new property a month early.
The Agents said we were lying about what had been said, even though we had witnesses.
The saga goes on and they are now saying we would have to pay the Landlords re-letting fee if they manage to find someone before the end of our original contract.
They have ignored most of my contact with them, except where they have sent a letter to state that they have accepted the end of tenancy letter we sent them, from six months, when we only sent a letter to say we were released after five months.They are very unprofessional and feel that they could have met us half way at least, even though they made the error in informing us that we could leave early. They are denying everything, even though we have the TRUE facts and proof!
They even expect us to allow the Landlord access for IMPROVEMENTS before the end of the six months. it states in the contract access for essential repairs and viewings for future tenants.
I would not recommend this company.
I shall be making a complaint to their head office and the Ombudsman.

When I entered into a dispute with a tenant regarding a deposit I was fed reapeated factual inaccuracies which would have cost me a great deal of money had I not contacted the Tenancy Deposit Scheme myself.
The icing on the cake was they assured me they had a tenant for the property but the tenant could not move in just yet so they had taken a deposit to take the property off the market with other agents. a couple of weeks before the tenant was supposed to move in the tenant pulled out of the deal. I asked for the deposit to be paid to me but they then said that they had no record of any deposit being taken.
I have repeatedly asked to speak with the manager of the individual I have been dealing with but they refuse point blank to provide me with their line managers contact details.
At best they lack competence and capability. Some might say that on the information available they act fraudulently. Next stop Trading Standards
