I have had THE most positive experience with the Wimbledon Branch of John D. Wood. Warren, Peter and Quinton have helped me through the sale of my mother's flat following her death. Spot on accuracy for sale price, always keeping me informed of inspections and taking people round constantly. Helping me with difficulties of withdrawal of a first sale and matching it with the most likely buyer. I have nothing but praise for them all in that branch. They earned every penny of their commission and I am most grateful to them. Patricia

As you are aware the change in government regulations now mean landlords operate on ever reducing margins. Timely and proactive responses have not only allowed us to make sound business decisions (in particular dealing with a problem tenant and local council), but saved us money.
To add to the complexity being located overseas, guidance on how best to comply and to arrange contractors for upgrade and maintenance of the property has been invaluable.
We sincerely thank you for all the help and gladly recommend you to others.

They have changed the terms of the contract from monthly to annual fees without agreeing this with us. They have deducted two annual fees and won\'t respond to my emails about this. Very soon this will be a legal issue.

They were given our property to market for rental and did find a tenant, but worked out to be totally unsuitable. This mis-match was for both sides and was obviously driven by getting the sale and not that both tenant and landlord would be happy.
Now they have changed the terms of the contract without consultation, plus taken twice as much in fees as agreed. I keep raising the matter and emails to multiple people get ignored.
Just avoid as there are plenty of agents offering a much better proposition.

I honestly hate dealing with John D Wood. I have been a tenant in the same property for 4 years and continually struggle to get any repairs carried out in the property. I honestly hate dealing with John D Wood. I have been a tenant in the same property for 4 years and continually struggle to get any repairs carried out in the property. What agent could do to change your mind?
More professional and honest. Instead I feel cheated and that I have wasted a lot of energy in a sale which upon reflection I think was never going to go ahead from the beginning.

The agent misled us from the start, was unprofessional and made many errors in correspondence. For example, the agent said that the exchange had to happen in one week - our solicitor said this was not possible as it takes longer than that to undertake local searches. John D. Wood did not respond to this email. Rather they waited until the week was over to say the sale was no longer going ahead. Example 2 - the terms and conditions of sale stated that all furniture was to be included. The agent later changed their minds, and presented us with a list with the original retail value for furniture that was 10 years old. Example 3 - they incorrectly spelt our names even after we had corrected them and used wrong addresses. Altogether it was a distressing experience and a waste of time which I had to take from my annual leave. I definitely do not recommend using this agent.
