My elderly mother & I were shown round a property in Skipton by the manager*. From the start he was rude, arrogant and condescending. Questions were answered with a sarcastic response, he was generally unhelpful and impatient. he said there was a lift but he didn't have the code with him (no apology, even though I'd checked that there was a lift available during the initial enquiry). When we asked about taking photos of the property he said they were all on the website & no, he didn't have a brochure to give us. The information mentioned a strong community spirit but when asked if there were any communal activities arranged he said, ' no, it's not a care home!' . The ladies in the office however, were very helpful, polite and curteous.
