Horrible experience. Took my money. I made an offer for a rental property, the landlord initially accepted and subsequently pulled out of the deal. Fisks charged me for administration fees of approx £300 and never gave it back despite the fact that it was not my fault at all the landlord decided to cancel the deal. On top of that they were unfriendly about it. I would strongly recommend nobody ever does business with Fisks.

I would urge anyone looking to rent a property to avoid doing so with Fisks. They will take your deposit and sell you add-ons in an attempt to get you to increase your weekly rental offer, then reveal the things they actually sold you with the property (an allocated parking space, for example) do not actually exist, by which time you've already placed your deposit and they then hide behind their company policies, refusing to refund you. Terrible service from start to finish. I should have ran a mile when the lettings negotiator turned up half an hour late to the viewing with no apology whatsoever. When I submitted a complaint, their director did not even apologise, but instead had the audacity to tell me their politeness is reserved for landlords and not "mere applicants"! And have you considered whether you'd even have a business without us 'mere applicants', James Pring? Atrocious attitude from someone who clearly has worked his way up based on family connections rather than his own merit. In summary, finding a decent property in London with a good agency is a stressful enough task; save yourself the additional stress and blow to your wallet by going with another lettings agency. Franklyn James, Felicity J Lord and Morgan Randall in the area offer a far better service. With companies like Fisks and managers like James Pring, it's no wonder lettings negotiators have a bad reputation.

James has been very professional since the start of my positive experience with Fisk Docklands Ltd. I was surprise since our first telephone conversation when he offered to pick me up to go and visit two properties he had in his portfolio. He is very focus on details and on customer satisfaction. I was looking for another flat due to a very bad experience with the previous management agency (AtkinsonmcLeod) that left my flat leaking for the last two months together with many other not fulfilled requests. So the positive experience with James and Fisks inject me of new trust in the Estate business. Highly recommended.

I am very pleased with Fisks. My property requirements were very specific. I wanted a secure gated development, 24 hour security, parking bay, a west or south facing reception area with a river view and an east facing bedrooms. I had a very strict budget and Martin Boylan worked hard to find the right property. When I first registered my requirements I specifically requested contact via email or sms only. Fisks was the only agent to adhere to this request. When Martin found the right property for me I was about to travel abroad for a few days on business, Martin met me for an out of hours viewing and handled the negotiation until late into the evening to make sure I secured the property. Although I had to pay a little more than my original offer Martin handled the negotiation professionally and transparently. The rest of the process from agreeing the deal undertaking the references and collecting the keys progressed very smoothly indeed. Martin's approach professionalism and market knowledge was excellent. When I moved into the property I was disappointed by the standard of the professional clean but Fisks arranged for professional cleaners to attend the same day. All in all a very good customer experience.

We had a terrible experience when trying to rent a property recently. Fisks lied about items which were included in the rental in order to justify an higher-than-normal rental offer, and when we found out (which they obviously didn't expect us to), their manager James refused to discuss it over the telephone, return our deposit or accept any responsibility despite us having proof.
We had no option but to visit them in branch in an attempt to resolve the dispute, where James and lettings agent Grace became extremely hostile and very, very rude, insulting us in their office. They still refused to accept any liability, therefore we took our claim to the Property Ombudsman and won all of our deposit back.
I would urge all others in a similar position to do the same. By not reporting these people, you are letting them get away with their improper and unethical conduct.

Fisks in docklands are the most unethical agents I have interacted with. In short they are white collared cheats. I had a terrible experience while looking for a rental property in Docklands. During offer negotiations they tried to get 6months rent upfront for the landlord because I was self employed which I declined.
At that point they verbally committed and I paid the holding deposit and other fees to proceed with the offer. Couple of days later they came back saying that referencing had failed because I was self employed for less than a year. They mentioned that the landlord was asking for 6 months rent upfront which I refused. They came back with another proposal to pay an additional deposit of 6 weeks. All they were trying to do was get extra money off me for the landlord. When I declined they said that they will not be able to proceed with the offer. Eventually they returned the holding deposit but have not returned the administration and referencing fee.
My accountant later told me that for referencing they got an email from Fisks and there was no third party agent invoked for which they had charged me. When I asked Fisks about this and asked for invoices and receipts for the service they had charged me for. They came back saying it was none of my business. At this point they got really nasty and started ignoring everything which I said. At this point I realised that this is their modus operandi of luring in unsuspecting tenants and then making money off their referencing and administration fees.
In the centre of all of this was Mr James Pring who was nasty as hell. Mr Peter was the original guy who conveyed that the landlord had agreed to the offer but when things got nasty he hid behind James Pring and James who was really nasty.
All I can say is never go to Fisks. And I am going to the property ombudsman.

I have a very depressing experience with this agent!!!!!! We emailed the agent claiming back our money, but there is no reply. We also went to their office in person, but it also doesnt work! They just have a no care attitude. It is really disgusting!!!!
We are going to refer the matter to the Property Ombusman, hoping that will solve the problem.
