I am Daorsa Aliu and have just recently let one apartment. My agent was Nyshaea Solomon and she made the whole experience amazing and was the main reason that I decided to let the apartment. Her communication skills, level of professionalism, always being in touch with every question that I had made me very happy and calm for the whole process of renting out the apartment. She even was able to help me out even during outside of working hours up until late at night. I believe that because of her help, Dexter is an amazing company and I will refer other friends to let apartments too at this agency.

This agency and in particular the agent have "managed" the property we rented for a year. This was the worst experience we could ever dread of. Not only was the agent incapable of dealing with anything, but she was also plainly lying to us. We have been facing several issues (water leaks, electricity deficiencies, fire alarms, clogged pipes, and more), and none of them were treated correctly nor on time. In addition, even after moving out, it took us two full months to get our deposit back. Even more, we were deducted "check out agency fees" we should never have had to pay. After so many many emails we managed to get it back, but it was a real struggle with the unprofessional agent.

We have been renting through Thamesview Estates for 12 months and have had to deal with at least half a dozen different people, none of whom talk to each other. There appears to be no centralized database so that every time you contact them, you start the conversation from scratch. We found that deductions were made from our account on a monthly basis and that no-one could account for them. Despite a flurry of emails and our own accountant stepping in to sort out the mess, Thamesview kept repeating the same mistakes. Finally we asked to end the contract but again, our request had to be repeated endlessly and still, to date, our poor tenants haven't got their deposit back. Some individuals within the organization are quite motivated but the whole does not hang together properly and internal communications are non-existent. I really wish we had never got involved them. It has taken up so much of our time and is still not sorted. Worse, we find that they have mistakenly been emailing the previous owner of our flat with our private details. Thamesview is clearly a very large and unwieldy organization.

Beyond one of the worst estate agents I have ever used! On moving into the rented property it was full of the previous tenants rubbish (old t-shirts, a tennis racket, a broken TV, it goes on..) We were then unconvincingly told by Square Mile that they contacted the landlord and refused to pick this up. We were also told that throwing these possessions away would result in not receiving our deposit back. They treat their tenants like crap, be warned!

What agent could do to change your mind?

Absolutely shocking services from start to finish. I would almost go as far as to call them conmen, or at least blisteringly incompetent.
The agent who initially showed us the property was very good right up until the point we signed the contract. Things went downhill from there. We moved in to find that the agent had lied about the property having a parking space. We immediately called up to dispute this, but all they said was it wasn't in the contract so we shouldn't have signed if we thought it should have been. Only further inspection of the contract, we also spotted that, when the agent had reprinted the contact to correct a typo in one of our names, they had changed several of the clauses regarding the landlords obligation to maintain the property. Again, they said we'd signed it so we had no recourse.
Throughout the tenancy they have refused to do maintenance, including leaving rotting floorboards for months after a burst pipe! This only got fixed when we refused to pay increased rent before it was fixed. We also had a dispute mid-tenancy where they accused us of not paying rent for three months (no contact before this). After providing evidence of the payments, they backed down, but we never got an apology.
Then, on moving out, we were mysteriously given an 'check in' inventory that we had never seen before (dispute chasing them for several weeks at the start to do one) that seemed to list the flat in a much better condition than we remembered. Getting the deposit back was a nightmare that took months to finally resolve after our tenancy had concluded (we had no deductions).
Stay well clear of this agent.
