My advice to anyone would be to avoid this agency at all cost. Two months after being requested to withdraw our house from the market, It's still being advertised on their website. We asked them to remove it from the market because the "service" they'd provided had amounted to little more than a joke. They charged us £70 for a set of photographs that were enough to put any prospective buyer off. They failed to keep us updated fully and the viewers we received were mainly looking for something quite different. The 'properties of interest' we were sent were not even similar to what we were looking for. just about every aspect of what they have done since we signed up with them can be described as disappointing at best. I have requested that they stop sending me emails twice and they're still sending us monthly newsletters.

We have been puchasing a property for 5 months which we found via cubitt & West East Grinstead. At the start of the process we called the agent for an update but they did not seem to know much so we contacted the agent above Mayhews who have been the agents who have kept us up to date with the progression even though they are not our agents!
I have not received 1 call from Cubitt & West to advise where we are at in the last 5 months. I called them this week as we are due to exchange to asked them how the sale is progressing to which they responded the same as last week.... What was the status last week I ask? To which they have information I knew about 4 weeks ago.
I'm not one of these people who expects a call every few days with an update but geez, 1 call would have been nice. I'm an agent too and progression is part of the job role!

What agent could do to change your mind?
You act on behalf of your clients who pay your salary. Providing and advertising all the basic information required by a customer should be readily available to a customer on behalf of the seller. It should not become an administrative obstruction resulting in loss of a customers interest.

This information would be required by any buyer to establish suitability, before asking to book a viewing.
I was confronted with questions of a personal nature including weather or not the company had a record of me and my personal details. I again explained to the agent member of staff, at this stage all i require is the most basic of information in order to make a decision and perhaps not waste my time or the agents, in information collection and viewings if the initial requested information was not acceptable to me.
I was spoken to in a very evasive and patronising way, the questions were not answered , the attitude was rude and ignorant, i terminated the call.

From the word go we knew we would get a brilliant result from these boys. They keep at it constantly. Oliver paid us a visit initially to put together all the details. The photographs come at an extra cost but on seeing the results they were excellent. Everyone in the office has pulled out all the stops to sell our house and it has paid off. I will most certainly recommend them to friends and they deserve all accolades that come their way. Hard work certainly pays off. Well done boys.

Recently sold my property in Forest Row via Cubitt & West East Grinstead. I was concerned about putting my property on the market as a neighbour with an identical property had been struggling to sell for a number of months via another agent located in Forest Row. From the initial meeting at my property, I was impressed with the advice I received regarding all aspects of the sale process and marketing campaign. The photos taken were very impressive, to the point of me questioning if I did actually want to move! Within three weeks of the property being listed I had seven separate viewings completed. In week four I received my first offer and in week five I accepted an increased offer. My neighbour's property was still on the market to the best on my knowledge on my completion day. I was kept regularly updated throughout the sale process and while there was regular communication I did not feel ‘hounded' as has been the case on previous sales via other agents attempting to push things through quickly. Would definitely recommend Cubitt & West.

I have made clear to them what my requirements were at the time for moving property (3-4bed) and they were sending me texts and emails about properties nowhere near the area of interest and for 1-2 bed properties. One day I received a call to discuss "my options" and it was the most unproductive 10 minutes of my life - total waste of time.
