Chloe, Adam and Ryan helped with the sale of my mother’s buy-to-let property and it was all done in less than three months. They were superb. The property didn’t need to go to market as the estate agency had contacts with prospective buyers who put in great offers. The team kept in touch with me throughout the process. Ryan rang me explaining how it works and and then came around for an informal chat. He put no pressure on us and left it with us over the weekend. We had spoken to a number of agents reference to moving etc etc but I rang Ryan back on the Monday to put our house on the market with Bridgefords. He came back with a value suggestion to that we stuck with and 5 days later we had 13 viewing and 4 offers, from there on he handed us over to Chloe Middleton who has been there for us all the way. Nothing has been issue or to much and she has gone out of her way to help us at all levels. Chloe has paid an integral part at being asked questions day and night and coming back with answers, to that I would highly recommend Bridgfords , Ryan and Chloe to anyone looking to move or buy in the future, this being our first time selling the smooth transition has been a pleasure and working with professionals.

Saw a house marketed by them and made an offer. The agent called back and told us the competitor's offer (not sure why they were allowed to do so) and asked us to offer higher. We did and offer was accepted with a promise that the marketing would stop. However the adverts stayed and they even put up a big for sale sign (they didn't put up the post when our offer was accepted). They were rushing us for AIP and solicitor's details while the marketing was certainly going on. Then 2-3 days later they called back to say they had a higher offer so they had to reconsider our agreed offer. So we made a higher offer again but they quickly removed all the adverts. We called them and they said they had proceeded with another higher offer. To us their operation is clearly untrustworthy and contains hidden agendas.

Let me start by saying that Bridgfords eradicated all of the joy that should have surrounded my first house-buying experience.
I bought my house under the pretences that it would be ready to be moved into and sales would be finalised within two months of the offer being made. I was promised this by the agent, George, so was happy to go through with the offer. Note: the house way uninhabited and I was making a cash buy. I finally moved in three months down the line, after having spent 5 weeks being 'homeless' and sleeping on people's couches, staying in a B&B, and travelling back to my parents' every weekend. The sale was drawn out because Bridgfords failed to list their property correctly. God knows how, but they didn't realise that it was a lease hold property. So three weeks into the process, my solicitors discovered this, which added another couple of weeks onto the process. Attention to detail, eh?
My biggest complaint with Bridgfords is their lack of professionalism. Nobody who calls themselves a professional should fail to return a phone call after three days. If you want a game of cat and mouse, then Bridgfords are DEFINITELY the estate agents of choice. If you want to be lied to and be promised a return phone call (only to find out in 4 hours' time that they're in a meeting/out with a client), then you'll be well-pleased by their service. I found George to have an extremely patronising manner when speaking to me. As a young female and a first-time buyer, I did not feel comfortable with being undermined and called 'sweetheart' and 'darling' by George, every time I called up to chase on the progress. I knew full well that I wasn't being taken seriously, which is even harder to stomach when you know they're making money off your buy.
At one point, the manager (Richard) agreed to oversee the sale instead of George, because he was that unhappy with how George was avoiding our calls and not answering our questions. To be fair to Richard, he did help out a lot more than George did, but still managed to sneak away on holiday when he promised to return our call 'the next day'. It did actually amaze me how long the poor staff are 'in meetings', too.
The saving grace of the company's reputation was Gemma. I'm not sure what position she holds there, but she was the only one who genuinely apologised for the service I was receiving. She left notes, messages and voicemails for her colleagues and tried her best to help me out.
On the whole, the management and senior staff are unable to take blame for their errors and constantly took to the defence/blame game of other parties when anything messed up (which was way too frequent). They genuinely do not seem to care about their clients, either. I've been in my house over a month now and haven't had a single question as to how the house is/how I'm doing, and the bloody For Sale sign is still attached to my fence. As soon as everything was over, I didn't hear a word from anyone as they viewed me as a nuisance, for being pissed off with their cock-ups. What a horrid person I am.
So, if you want some golden advice, then avoid Bridgfords at all costs. They will make your life HELL and ruin a time which should be enjoyable and exciting. They have incompetent staff and feed their clients lies after lies, to simply buy themselves time. All they care about at the end of the day is where their next bit of income is coming from. The best thing about FINALLY being in my house is that I never have to speak to them for as long as I live. Good riddance.

After the first time and waiting for close to 20 minutes for the Agent to arrive while it was raining. i called the office no one was at the other end to pick up the phone, fair enough. so of i went and arranged another viewing. missed the call while driving then am waiting called the branch, " will be over in 15 min" 20 minutes later i walk away. now you might think that was that, after putting a post on Face book ( yes they stalk us online) i get a rather high rate phone call in which the Agent attempts to make out she was there then attempts to have an argument over the phone at which point i hung up. so in summery.
1 they don't pick up the phone
2. they stalk you online.
3. they call to lie to you and say they where at such a place when they blatantly were not.
4.they call to further annoy you when they don't like the subsequent post on line. well done Bridgfords Denton Branch !

Not only have we had a house sale fall through, admittedly this was not entirely their fault, the 2nd sale has proved to be nothing more than a shambles with Bridgfords and countrywide pushing their incompetant services and advisers onto first time buyers who are quite clearly not in a position to purchase!
Add to this we have since discovered that a potential purchaser was denied a viewing and hence the possibility of finding a purchaser who had a mortgage and the sale could have proceeded in a more timely and professional manner!
Only use this company if you want to deal with incompetant, unprofessional and condescending individuals who believe they can bully you into doing things their way!
You have been warned.
