Initially my experience was satisfactory until the invoice for sale.I was quoted £1800 inclusive of VAT by Tony (Manager).We discussed the fixed £1800 will be negotiable.I visited the Heswall branch and stated I would only accept selling fees of £1500 inclusive which was agreed by Tony.He then proceeded to cross out the £1800 inclusive price and insert in pencil £1500+ VAT.
Unfortunately I didn't check the new amount and fast forward two months to point of sale and I'm invoiced for £1800.Very deceiving by initially making out he'd accept £1500 inclusive.
After speaking to Tony on the phone he says he doesn't recollect our conversation discussing the £1500 inclusive fixed rate.
To me that's totally unprofessional and just shows they can't be trusted.

Quite good. Kept in touch about the property and let me know who was visiting it. All staff at Bradshaw Farnham and Lea were helpful from putting our house on the market to completion of both sale and purchase of our bungalow. Staff were helpful in providing names of contractors who could give us quotes for works necessary on our purchase.

We felt let down on the move day. This is a particularly stressful day for all parties. Having vacated our property and delivered the keys to Bradshaw Farnham and Lea, I had to wait in the office for 20 minutes as the keys to our new property were not in their possession. This involved telephone calls to another member of the Estate Agents Team and trying to contact our seller. It appeared they only had the home telephone number as a contact and, of course, there was no one there to answer the call.

At this stressful stage, the Estate Agents said it would be best to go to our new bungalow and see what the situation was. Our delivery van was sitting in the drive when we arrived. The bungalow garage was absolutely full. As our furniture was going into storage, we had stressed to the Estate Agent the need for the garage to be empty in the bungalow. The only items we were moving on that day were garage items from our previous house. Our delivery men had to start emptying the bungalow garage and putting all their items, including kitchen cabinet from garage, on the front lawn before they could unload their van with our garage items. The seller's daughter was there and everyone was very unhelpful. Not a good start to our new life.

Poor. For a start, we were buyers and not vendors, so your records are inaccurate. Secondly, when viewing the property we asked especially for an extended appointment since we wished to take measurements. When we arrived we were rushed and not given the appointment we had asked for. Finally, after we had bought the property and been living there for a number of weeks, a 'To let' sign appeared outside. The sign was screwed into a 100 year old stone wall, causing damage. I called BFL to ask why this sign was put up, and was told rather abruptly that 'Heswall office doesn't deal with rentals, you need to speak to West Kirby'. No apology was made, and eventually the person on the 'phone agreed to contact the other office and get them to call me back with an apology and explanation. 10 months on, I am still waiting for that call, still waiting for an apology and still have damage to the stone wall!
