Been a landlord with them for almost 3 years, overall feeling?.... very underwhelmed. The staff who are out doing the job are very pleasant and easy to deal with but it seems there is a disconnect with management, who hide behind processes. My tenant left my property in a disgustingly filthy state, despite 6-monthly 'inspections' by BaseLETS. The staff member agreed with my view that this should have been addressed but all I got was an email saying in effect 'we've done our job' - no empathy and VERY defensive. It's like that all the time. After extensive cleaning and decorating, the property was remarketed by BaseLETS for 5 weeks without success. I finally had enough, moved to another agent and had a tenant within 48 hours. I came to my own conclusion on that one

Horrible experience first off when the fridge broke that came with the property and we requested it be fixed or replaced due to the fact I was pregnant and was afraid of consuming spoiled food baseless took it upon themselves to let the landlords know that we can get a fridge from FMO. So I had to let them know that's my entitlement to decide to use and not for them to decide to let the landlords know what we as military get and don't get. When it came to check out we ended up doing it 3 weeks before we left the country we had been told 5 business days for the landlords to decide an amount of money to be taken from our deposit since they would be needing to get a quote....... By day 5 we nothing , by day 7 we had nothing I called to let them know that i was on to them I'm sure they where waiting for us to leave the country so we couldn't contest to whatever number they had been making up. The day before we left they got a figure. 550gbp there was no invoice saying how they came to this amount only the closing record with all the issues that had been spotted a couple including a couple of tiny nail holes, a couple of grubby spots on blindes and slight scuffing on the walls. After getting base housing involved and as well as telling them we had hired the cleaning done so they would come clean what was missed for free as well as stating we wanted to get a quote done they continued to put us off after an entire month we finally got an so called invoice with only the amount stated no listed for individual things being done and cost for time involved. We felt that 150gbp was more than fair the landlords said no so we said 100gbp. DPS stated that nail holes are normal if the landlords have pictures up assume tenants will as well. Baskets says on the final check out sheet slight scuffing normal, and the blinds had been grubby bc they had not been replaced since two previous tenants so you can't have us pay for someone else's damage. Baseless is there to benefit the landlords they step in and say you are trying to charge for things that go against our guidelines or even give tenants the chance to make the most of their deposits they should be ashamed for taking advantage of people that feel like there is nothing they can do because they won't be there dodgy! The military community should put them out of business! As you can see they have no place to post bc all the feedback would say they are shit ! We only ended up giving the 100gbp fight that shit till the end it will pay off

This agency is not the best one in the area. Throughout my tenancy I asked for repairs (oven which was looked at twice, but never fixed, big burn marks from previous tenant), did not know what the air filters were until I came close to leaving, and permission to have a couple small animals. Easy, low threat caged creatures, but they would never get back with an answer. When it came to questions about the house itself, they were very rude. However, in person they were ok and not bad to deal with and most were quite pleasant. Although a third party, do not expect to get all of your deposit back no matter how well you took care of your home. I was told by inspectors basic wear and tear was visible, but still the house was in amazing shape. Civilian and military should stay away from this company.

These agents seem to be swindlers they try to get as much money from military as possible they try to work the dps system to their advantage, and help you rarely throughout your tenancy, then they harass you with quarterly inspections the worst of it is that they feel normal wear and tear are somehow actual damage to the property.even though they have the quarterly visits they fail to tell you anything that is a problem. that way when the final inspection is here and you have to leave country they can put you among a roc and a hard place! these are the demons of letting agents sweet to your face and fair to the only god they believe in Money!!!!!!

Horrible service. Every time I contacted them about a problem they took forever to respond. Had a problem with my shower, took them 3 weeks to even look at it. They never respond back in a timely fashion except if they're having problems with your direct deposit and they haven't seen your money, they have plenty of time to contact you for that. With security deposits they don't make sense, being charged for something never was told and they're throwing different numbers that I owe. They say one thig during property visits but then at last minute say something else. The Lisa agent is very rude, she does not have great customer service. Reccomendation: DO NOT USE THIS BUISNESS.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Not made the closing out process so difficult. They gave us different stories and made it difficult to contact the landlord.

Initially I was happy with Baselets in helping us locate a property however when it came time to close out the process (end the lease), we found Baselets to be very difficult. They did not seem to know what they were doing. I simply asked if I needed to give notice to just baselets or the landlord and was told to go through the landlord. Later on, we called to get the landlord's e-mail address and Baselets told us to go through them to terminate the lease. They also wouldn't give us our landlord's contact info over the phone and told us to send an e-mail requesting this info. Really??? They aren't consistent and don't seem to know what they are doing. I am happy knowing that this will be the last time we have to deal with Baselets.
