When I returned the call a very unpleasant woman (Louise at Aberdeen) basically said that unless I gave her the date I was putting the property on the market I couldn't have the free valuation. I definitely wouldn't want to deal with such a pushy, rude company. Instead I contacted a local solicitor who sent me details of their charges and has left me to mull them over without sales pressure. As it happens I will be selling the property in question very soon.

You are dealing with the Halifax mortgage and Macleod and macCallum solicitors in Inverness. Your company is clearly withholding monies owed and you are personally holding up my divorce process with your blasé attitudes

I remortgaged 2 houses through Halifax who use this Company in Aberdeen. Absolutely shocking service and I would NEVER use this Company again. Our Remortgage completed finally! via Aberdein Considine and was a very unprofessional and shockingly bad service from start to finish. Both very surprised at the mistakes being made from what we thought was a well respected and professional Solicitors service. Please be very careful when looking for legal services, and listen to friends and family as choosing the wrong firm is a very stressful and frustrating waste of time and energy. Stay away!

Agreed a purchase of a property and was told my offer had been accepted, exchange date would be the middle of January and seller was just clarifying which bits of furniture they wanted to keep. Chased them on 3rd January, no response. Chased again on 4th January (baring in mind completion was supposed to be middle of this month) and got a short email back saying sorry the seller has changed their mind and would be removing the property from sale. Total waste of time!! Extremely poor communication. No gesture of goodwill. Whole process was a nightmare from start to finish. Will avoid in the future and don't know how many other buyers avoid them due to their service but if i ever sell a flat it will not be through them!!

These are the worst Agents I have ever dealt with. I have rented two properties from them now and I only wish I had read other people's reviews before I proceeded with renting from them.
The first time around I had to refer the matter to Safe Deposit Scotland who were acting as Adjudicators as they wanted to claim �119 from my deposit for a house that was left very clean. They also had light bulb charges for light bulbs that never worked when they handed the property over to me. With this second property I will refer the matter to court and hopefully they will learn to treat tenants better.
Needless to say, both properties were also never cleaned at the start of the tenancy and I tried very hard to contact them to complain about this, but they kept ignoring me until I had to arrange for the property to be cleaned before I moved in. Then at the end of the Tenancy they want to hold on to your deposit with all sorts of fictitious claims.
I had left the property so clean and they had to resort to climbing a ladder to check the top of the doors to look for dust- unbelievable! They will stop at nothing to keep back your deposit and I believe their so called 'independent inventory checker is also a part of their money grabbing sham.

Their management is very very high compared with others in Aberdeen. Question everything they try to bill you, ask to see time sheets otherwise they rip you off. And check when they say something is a legal requirement as they will try anything to generate revenue.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Our son rented a house with some friends when at Aberdeen uni. The great many faults with the house were never addressed. The house suffered from damp to the point our son was constantly I'll. For a rent of £1800 per month I would expect better. At the end of the contract the money withheld from the deposit was ridiculous. Over £200 to cut grass the size of a postage stamp and a stupid amount for some blue tack on the wall. A ridiculous amount for cleaning - don't they expect to have to clean the house after renting to students. I would not object to a certain amount of cost but this company is deliberately ripping off young kids that don't know better than to just pay what ever is demanded

They are trying to charge me for absolutely everything they possibly can. Even saying that I need to remove a plug adapter that elongs to the tenant but it was in the original inventory photos! They are SHOCKING to deal with, so greedy. I will never ever recommend them to anyone.
I will enjoy arguing about this. I have ALL the time in the world :)

I had a tenant that only wanted to stay for 6 months. She paid 6 months upfront and clearly stated that she would be leaving after this. She was not told that she had to give a notice period and there was no reminders or contact with her to tell her she would need to. 1 month after she had already moved out (I was not aware of any of the above and following, only found out as I have contacted the tenant direct and got her side of the story) she finally got an email through saying she owed rent. She replied saying that she had already told them she had moved out and would not be paying rent. Aberdein Considie failed to tell me this and assured me that they would chase up rent and I would receive it. The flat stayed empty and I had to pay out the mortgage myself for 3 months.
There was barely any contact from Aberdein considine.
I told them after the first month to terminate the contract and to get my deposit back. They did not do this and did not try and find any other tenants. I am still waiting on my deposit 4 months on. I have also just received a £360 bill which they are charging me for when the flat was empty??
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
I have since moved companies and can't believe I put up with Aberdein Considine for so long.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Start to become efficient when dealing with clients. Charge reasonable prices for works carried out.

My property was immaculate when I handed the property to AC and at the end of the lease they failed to have the windows cleaned and have asked me to pay £51.00 to have 3 ground floor windows cleaned!!! I want a job as a window cleaner in Aberdeen at these rates of £17 per window.
Despite numerous emails to Andrew Williamson I am still waiting for justification as to why this is my responsibility, why the previous tenant didn't clean the windows, why this wasn't picked up at the closing inspection but no response after more than 2 weeks.
Communication is slow even after a request for my complaint to be escalated.
Such a pity as the manager of the Stonehaven branch has been very efficient only to be let down by others within the company.

- Listened to the very basic requested of the buyer and seller. - Gave much much clearer details of how any bank transfers would work and the documentation needed. - Organising themselves much much better.

Luckly I was in close contact with the seller of the property or this purchase would not have been completed. The seller told me the date he could move out and the exact price he would accept, but 2 days later the Aberdein Considine called me to inform me that the price for £1000 less than he had informed me and that we could move in 2 months earlier. This absolutely wasn't the case. They simply didn't listen to very basic instructions. Also very difficult to get intouch with the solicitor that is dealing with you case.
Once again, Very Poor!
