Do not use this letting company. Was one bad experience after another. We arranged a viewing with a staff member called Danny who was extremely rude, arrogant and made very homophobic comments. I don't normally bother writing reviews or putting in complaints, however, this particular set-up had me absolutely fuming. What agent could do to change your mind?
Since negotiation of fees was never even mentioned, perhaps the agent could have tried in the first place?

Their fees are sky high and even though we asked for a breakdown of these to find out why they were so much, we were told that there was no breakdown and we just had to accept them if we wanted the property. Once they have the contract signed and your money, communication deteriorates and they\'re not interested in any questions you might have.

I agree with the other reviews on this site. I have just left a tenancy with Urban Base after 6 months, i just had enough. What agent could do to change your mind?
The service is disgusting. Sack the staff and start again or call it a day, they have stolen enough money from people.

Paid £525 in total and entered a property without working locks, lights, and other parts. Also had no paperwork, inventory was incorrect and the property was filthy. They had no interest - just want the money!

They took our money and ripped us off. Considering legal action - terrible treatment. If you use this agency, ensure that you go through all the paperwork with a legal expert before you sign anything. They do not check that anything in the property works or is safe. The only thing that would improve matters for me is if they went out of business so they can't do this to other people.

Horrible service in Durham branch, the staff there has the worst attitude I've ever seen, they just don't explain to you all the details, so you have to explore all the details yourself, otherwise you will be ripped off. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
