THis is the worst company to do business or be their customer. I put my business on the market with this estate agent informing them that my business is also with another agent before them. The representative told me that was ok and if the other estate agent found a buyer for my business I only had to pay them £950.00 administration fee. They said the contract is for twelve months and if I do not wish to continue when the twelve months is up for renewal, I should give them one mon...

HORRIBLE people and company. They CON you into signing their contracts. Do not believe a word this shower of con men say. They like you to pay by cheque, as once you have sat down and read the contract you will want to cancel the contract WELL GUESS WHAT this is exactly what they want you to do so they can claim their commission which will be in the region of thousands of pounds. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITH THIS SHOWER . RESEARCH RESEARCH . Don't even think they have sold a business as they valu...

Absolute conmen. They took the agreement away without leaving me the carbon copy and then sent me the carbon copy in the post - with their staff having made amendments to the agreement without my consent. Now they have sent me a bill for £3k for not providing an energy certificate - I told them I'm not willing to do any business with them at all and do they send me this bill. ...

We signed an agreement with RTA to sell our business not realizing there was no cooling off period after researching this company we tried to cancel oh no RTA sued us for 10,000 after two visits to court we finally won only by two mistakes no invoice was issued to in our company name and no photo I'd was taken when my husband signed the agreement which had been judged by a different case to be necessary so if RTA or Ernest Wilson are sueing you and didn't do these two things you"d probably ...

We were a small business who contacted RTA in 2004. They suggested an over-inflated selling price and did not tell us about their fees if they fail to find a buyer. After a few months of no contact we told them we were no longer selling and they sent us a bill for £1500. All they had done was visit the premises for half an hour and they expected £1500. They took us to court and won so we had to pay them £5000 including costs. I contacted the owner and begged him not to do this ...

Thank you. I didn't realise it had come across like that. I think they took us to court in 2003/2004 and these types of forums weren't around so much so we were unaware that they were doing this on such a massive scale. The judgement went in their favour because we'd signed their form without reading the small print and as a business you're not protected by consumer law which is what needs to change I think. Their sales rep didn't even turn up to court and we still lost. We used a solicitor a ...

Completely dishonest crooks who deliberately deceive. Rather like the scammers who trawl through car adverts and then call the sellers of cars and tell them they have people waiting to buy their car. They then charge an exorbitant fee for this but have no buyers. It's all a lie designed to extract money from the gullible. This is what RTA consultants do, only with businesses. They take the fee and do NOTHING! There are no buyers. It's just a big con....

AVOID at all costs. Do NOT listen to a word they say. They are an out and out SCAM. RTA (Business Consultants) Ltd are a rotten company from the top to the bottom and prey on misrepresenting themselves and their contracts to unsuspecting small and medium sized business owners. How this company is allowed to continue to operate is beyond belief and I would encourage anyone who is already in contract with them to search for CEBTA and seek their own legal advice. IF YOU ARE IN CONTRACT WITH RT...

RTA Business Consultants are quite simply not fit to do this job. the sales staff over promise, and then never deliver a prospective buyer, ever. And when you cancel, you get a tirade of abuse and threats of blackmail from Paul O'Reilly. And before you know it, you have a court summons on your desk. So do not ever sign, do not ever agree to meet. They are simply not able or ever want to sell your business, but live on out of court settlements....

Outrageous. Why do we pay them up front 30%? No one else does this, ever. This is not standard practice anywhere, but it does tie you to them, just how they like it. And when you sign, you awake from a mysterious ghostly moment, and then realise what you have just done.

We were approached by RTA as they had people interested in our business. At this point, we were not looking to sell. We had a meeting from a rep who promised us the earth and said there would be no problem selling our property. When asked to value the business, we were asked how much we would like to get. On giving him the figure he added ‚£60,000 to cover their fees! There was also upfront costs etc etc. Thankfully we didn't sign and when they called to follow up we told them where...

I agree with all the other bad reviews, these people are scumbags! They have now put a charge on my house to recover their 'cancellation fee'. They are totally untrustworthy and are scamming people. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with and would urge anyone thinking of dealing with them not to do so. They did nothing for me just took my money. There is no evidence that they even tried to sell my business for me. I hope they get what's coming to them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

As a company we advertised the business on a range of websites which resulted in 250 enquiries. Unfortunately no one was prepared to pay the money that the client wanted to achieve. However, as a company we did our best for the client. The client was aware that we did not work for nothing and yet refused to pay the agreed fee even though we had done the work we had said we would do. We were forced to take legal action and a court stated that the client owed the money. If the clie ...

Placed our property with them .... Their rep lied from start to finish. Overpriced the business, wasn't really interested in the books, buildings, etc. (alarm bells should have rung!). Very keen to get you to sign contract asap, lying when you ask about "fees". After they have gone you read the small print and realise you have been scammed. Twelve months later they issue you with a "release fee" of £1500.00....this is how they make their money, together with those who p...

Check out CEBTA web site. Get all your facts together. Photocopy all the negative reviews of this company. If you have no money, represent yourself in court. Hope that the judge can see these rip off merchants for what they are. They lose most of these cases. But they try and scare people into paying up before it goes to court. If you lose ...you pay their fees anyway plus court costs. Worth going to court..most judges can see it's a scam ...

This company literally defy belief! After being scammed by them for £1800 we heard nothing from them in 8 months and had no viewings from prospective buyers. They promise the earth and deliver less than nothing. They messed up our original business details on their website, lost our documentation, and when we complained they told us we were behaving unreasonably! RTA is quite an appropriate acronym as they are a MASSIVE car crash for their customers. They have absolutely NO conscience and ...

I would say that this company is one of the worst I have ever dealt with for after service. The sales agent who came to value my business was nice enough although i felt he over inflated the sale price to entice you to think that you would actually get this asking sale price. The after service was pretty much none existent and I continually had to email the Stockport office to see if there had been any inte...

Bunch of out and out rotten people. Call you every week when your business is struggling (they must be buying this information ) and offer you a lifeline in the form of a huge potential sale value ... Often 3 times what the business is actually worth ! Then to heap misery on you at your lowest point, they start harassing you for huge sums of money.. They just came up while we were having dinner..I felt compelled to come on here and warn everyone...However bad it appears now you will get over it ...

We listed our business with RTA in 2009 and we're promised an extensive advertising and marketing programme. What a load of tosh!!! We had no contact whatsoever in over five years and not one viewer. RTA - Do not use this company. Very quick to pressure you into putting your business on their books in order to charge you their ridiculos fee for doing absolutely nothing! I have had my business premises (apparently) up for sale with this company for over 2 years. I have not had any contact or feedback from them let alone any interest from their potential buyers!? Only if & when I have contacted them for an update I was given some bullshit about interest shown! Absolutely useless....
