I wish I would of read these reviews previously...... We've had so many problems it's been ridiculous! For us it started straight away when we were rushed into signing the tenancy agreement, after only wanting to do a 6month tenancy they almost bully you into signing a 12month one as their renewal fees are £140 each!!! So that would be £240 for us just to renew! No thank you! We weren't given a good chance to sit and read through the tenancy agreement either before signing on, and later came to notice there were many sneaky costs which we were unaware of. Very disgusting!! When we first moved into the property going through our inventory we realised so many things had been missed off such as; stains on the carpets, marks on the walls, stains on the feeling in the kitchen from upstairs leaks! Damp on the walls in the bedroom and living room, damp behind the washing machine in the kitchen, a leaky cupboard which had gone mouldy and the shelf was giving way. Then there was a broken toilet seat which they refused to fix, so we bought a new one and replaced it ourselves! Then there was the noise from outside, people coming outside the property on their way home from town and peeing against the front door, banging swearing fighting all sorts making me feel so unsafe in the property, yet they said they had never received any complaints from previous tenants about the noise - this is incorrect as moving in and speaking to other people in the building they had also put in complaints about the noise both to the letting agents and the police! We waited 3 months for the damp to get resolved, luckily we moved in over summer so the weather wasn't too bad.... We also checked all of the heaters as soon as we moved in, no surprise these weren't working either (other than a manual small electric one in the bedroom) this took them 6 months to rectify! SIX MONTHS!!! What a joke!! Not only have we had an endless amour of issues with them, but they are so so so rude! They have no issues with coming into your property without you being there, on several occasions we've asked them not to enter unless we've been there, their response *"Oh it's ok, we have a spare set of keys, we have no issues entering the property without you being there"..... I feel that this is disgusting this is our home!! We have had several issues with our rubbish bags, having been informed that we have storage units in where we can leave our rubbish we are yet to be told where these are, after having looked for them all around the area we are yet to find them.... 11 months later! Overall from start to where we are now we've had so many issues with the property manager, the agents themselves and their professionalism, which is non-existent! We are not looking forward in handing back our keys after hearing what some of you have said about receiving your deposits..... makes us wonder exactly what deposit if ANY they will return back to us...... Please do your research not of just the property but the agents as well so you don't get sucked into the same fly trap as us!
What agent could do to change your mind?
There is nothing that could change my mind, agents like this need to be shut down and shown for who they really are!

DISGRACEFUL! They must be the world's worst letting agents. Absolutely terrible, the worst, please don't go with them, especially if you have a family. They let themselves in to the property with consulting me or getting my consent. Don't touch these guys with a barge pole. Entered my property multiple times without permission (at least 5 or 6 different occasions). Would not recommend this Agency to anyone. If you want to be ripped off then by all means use them. Terrible agency , will not be using them again nor recommending them to anyone. Fees are higher than most in Colchester so please shop around.
