Have emailed the agency about the house that I wanted to rent. I was given a form to fill in and then heard nothing, only later my partner have went in and found out that the house is being rented. I completely understand that it's entirely landlords decision and that agency is trying to find tenants that best' matches landlords/property criteria. However, I would have appreciated if the agent would let me know that I haven't got the house. There really is no need for false hopes. At least, show some respect to the prospective tenant and let them know. No follow up is really a downside.
What agent could do to change your mind?

For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
