We rented a property via Langford Russell, Chislehurst Office (and subsequently dealt with Acorn Group, Lewisham on the property management side) and what appeared to be a nice property in a lovely location with great neighbors was completely ruined by the fact that the landlord was a complete nightmare and never responded timely or helpfully when problems occurred (such as leaking bathroom and no water for weeks on end on more than one occasion). Staff at the office were friendly for the most part but just didn't seem keen or able to help us resolve issues speedily and it became a standard response from them that "we've called the landlord and we're waiting for him to call back" a couple of days is acceptable but after a week or two later you begin to wonder what value these agents are adding and who is the customer here... Especially now. We moved out 17 days ago and no one can get hold of the landlord to confirm alls ok worth the check out and to release our hefty deposit. This is outside of the contracted terms yet the only response we get from the agent the the same old "we've left him a message" and when we mentioned the contract terms they mutter something about going the ombudsman scheme which will take weeks! From my experience this is Not a company with tenants' interests at heart and certainly Not a group I ever wish to deal with again.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
