The agent I was using for my rented property sold out to Mann Countrywide, Yeovil. This agency was extremely inefficient - didn't answer phone messages or emails, took a lot of pushing to do simple tasks. I tried for 5 months to get them to transfer a deposit when I sold one of my houses to my son but despite promises that they were processing it, it was never done. I changed agencies, and like the other reviewer, my tenants mistakenly took the rent money in cash to Mann Countrywide. Mann banked the money, sent me part of it (retaining management fee, VAT and a further £10). Despite many efforts by me, the tenants and the new agency, to get the money back, it has not been returned. The agency said several times that they had asked Accounts to return it, but Accounts said they had no record of this. I was told in one phone call that the money had actually been transferred to me, but this proved to be untrue.
