DO NOT USE!! They are now known as Sterling De Vere, but are the same terrible property management company. They are rude and aggressive and will not fix anything unless it has been reported about 10 times. We were left without a shower for over a month and a half, despite calls every other day. They never clean the communal area, despite advertising it as a free service. The state of the properties is worrying, boilers are not gas safety checked, electrics are not wired correctly and in our case, were left exposed. They do not send round qulified technicians to sort out these issues, instead they send guys which look like their mates to come and sort out the boiler etc. They have yet to return my deposit even though the room was in a better state than it was when I moved in (a lot cleaner). They will ignore the majority of your calls and you'll be lucky to get in contact with them. Then when it comes to moving out, they ignored the credit check company for my new agent, which in turn seriously delayed me moving into my new place!! The one time you will hear from them, however, is close to when your rent is due. They will send reminders to you days before you have to pay, and if you are ever late, one of my flat mates had three big guys turn up to his room demanding 2 weeks rent (he was only a few days late). Trust me, DO NOT use this company, they are very unprofessional and you will regret it!! there are other rooms out there on sites like spareroom/gumtree, anything is better than getting a room with this company

I would thoroughly warn against renting from Sterling Devere. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for the wellbeing of tenants is beyond belief (in fairness the landlord was just as bad). If you can help it, do not rent through De Vere. My general experience of dealing with De Vere over the last 19 months has been terrible. Basically in a nutshell the worst company in the world, never paid our bills, we had no power for two days. Would take them weeks even months sometimes to fix anything we asked them to fix. Worst decision I have made since I had been in London moving into a De vere Property, I would highly suggest shopping elsewhere!!!!
