I would never rent from Finders Keepers again, and certainly will never recommend them to anyone. We have just finished our tenancy, and are currently trying to get our deposit back. We have had the flat professionally cleaned (including the carpets) and it is spotless, in fact cleaner than it was when we moved in. Despite this, they are trying to find reasons to hold on to our deposit. So far we have hoovered the curtains, cleaned out an oven that was filthy when we moved in and repainted the kitchen ceiling over marks that were not made by us, but they are still delaying. They are now saying they need to do another inspection. When I complained and said we want the deposit refunded, I was told that tenants can't just make demands for whatever they like. I was astonished by the arrogance and lack of respect shown to us. Their policy seems to be to find whatever they can to extract every last penny they can from their tenants, and patronise them whilst doing so. We are currently seeking legal action to recover our deposit. In my opinion, a disgusting way for a supposedly professional agency to behave.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Stop putting barriers up to refund our deposit, and deal with us respectfully instead of talking down to us.

26 Jul 2013I am pleased to say that following further lively correspondence with Finders Keepers, they have agreed in writing to refund our deposit in full. It's a relief to resolve the matter, but I hope future tenants have a better experience.

26 Jul 2013Following my above comments, Finders Keepers have agreed in writing to refund our deposit in full. We are greatly relieved, and looking forward to receiving it and putting an end to this matter. We are feeling a little better about them now, despite the stress of the checkout!

Appalling service from this lettings agents who failed to perform the tasks they were paid to perform when tenants vacated property.
