The office was very close to the rented accommodation but they seemed unable to respond very quickly to complaints. A faulty shower and broken entrance door handle were not fixed during the 9 month tenancy. On termination they were given a months notice but failed to inspect while the tenant was resident because it isn't their procedure however they didn't manage to inspect at time to suit the former tenant either. We spent 2 weeks asking if the inspection had been done and if we could have the deposit back and were given various excuses none of which complied with the tenancy deposit scheme. With a couple of days to go before the deposit was needed to pay another landlord they then found some minor problems with the flat and decided to withhold £45 for a job that quite frankly I could have done for £10. They didn't release the deposit in time and left it until a Friday morning advising that it would take 3 working days to clear. Effectively making the tenant homeless. Don't use these agents they are totally inefficient and unprofessional. The tenancy deposit scheme are investigating.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
