I would strongly advise caution when dealing with this company and how they manage tenant deposits. They market themselves as a luxury service, yet our experience did not reflect that. Throughout our tenancy, several emails about property issues went unanswered, and there was very little communication or support. When we moved out, they attempted to deduct a large amount from our deposit very minor issues, including a “dusting of cobwebs.” This felt unreasonable, especially since the inspection took place several days after we had already left the property. It is difficult to see how tenants could prevent cobwebs from appearing once they have vacated. We spent hours cleaning to leave the property in excellent condition, but the same care and professionalism were not shown when we raised maintenance concerns during our tenancy. Even after following up multiple times, we were often ignored. We chose not to push further at the time because we loved the property and did not want to be seen as difficult tenants, but this experience has been a reminder of how an agency can treat you at the end of a lease, regardless of how well you have looked after the property. The most concerning part was an attempt to deduct £200 damage that had actually been caused by a previous tenant. We had to dispute this quickly, which caused unnecessary stress. Although they later admitted it was their mistake after checking their records, there was no sincere apology the error. While mistakes can happen, this showed a worrying lack of care when handling tenants’ deposit funds. Overall, I would urge anyone using this company to be cautious. Make sure you understand your rights and are familiar with the deposit protection and dispute resolution schemes in you find yourself in a similar situation.
