I recently enquired about a newly listed property through Spencer Estate Agents in Sheffield. I called just a few hours after it was added to the market. Julie took all my details and my preferred viewing time, explaining she would contact the vendor to confirm and update me. Shortly after, I received an email saying the vendor had requested viewings be suspended and that I would be informed when they resumed. However, only an hour later the listing was updated as “Sold.” This experience felt very disappointing and lacked transparency. The communication gave the impression that viewings would be arranged, only the property to be marked as sold almost immediately afterwards. It left me feeling misled and frustrated. I would caution others to be aware of this type of experience and would not recommend this agency based on my interaction.
