The initial experience with Foxton's was positive the letting agent was fantastic, personable and effective. Jamal Shamal listened to what we needed and only presented flats within our budget that met our specific needs. The problems came after moving in. The toilet sink was leaking and had damaged a wall. The repair took over a week of having tradesmen in the property needing me to be in the flat all day a week. This all to fix a 50cmx25cm area of drywall. Then on moving in we realized the post went to the main building which we were not given a key too. As we had just moved from overseas the post coming was bank cards, phone contracts all the things needed to set up in the UK. I had to pester my neighbors over 3 months before Foxtons provided a key. This led to a falling out with them and meant I then had limited uncomfortable use of the semi shared garden space. There were several other instances where the communication was just not present. No responses to requests and there were they were not in the least bit timely. The last straw came when they randomly chose a lease date that we were given no input in and was not the date given in our contract. They then gave us no room to maneuver or change the date without weeks of back and forth. Costing us a significant sum. All around the entire experience of their property management has been horrific and unprofessional. Given the tenants are the source of funds this business and the landlord you would think some effort would be put into retaining their customers but there is zero attempt at recovery or anything beyond empty words. I have personally worked in property management and my spouse is a Hotel GM, and we are landlords ourselves and I behaved in such a way to guests or tenants (personal or professional) i would be thoroughly ashamed of my behavior.

Their service is abominable, it could not be worse if they tried. It took them 5 months to change a name on our contract, even though we constantly chased them. Absolutely terrible experience. WE signed Tenancy agreement with Foxtons two months before tenancy started and when apartment was still occupied.
