Absolutely the Worst Experience This has been the worst renting experience I have ever had, and I would strongly advise others to stay away from Hello Neighbour. I paid a holding deposit, successfully completed all reference checks, and even signed the tenancy agreement from my side. Everything was set. Then, on the actual day I was supposed to move in, I received a call from the agency informing me that the landlord had decided to sell the property instead – and that he already had a buyer and agreement in place. This news came after I had already packed all my belongings and arranged and paid removals. There was no warning, no accountability, and no compensation offered the money I lost as a result of their complete lack of professionalism. The agents were disorganised, showed no understanding of the impact this caused, and made no real effort to help. It was clear they had no control over or awareness of the landlord’s actions, which makes me seriously question their credibility and communication processes. I wouldn’t wish this kind of experience on anyone. Hello Neighbour has shown me just how careless and unprofessional a lettings agency can be. I absolutely do not recommend them to anyone.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
