Disappointing experience with Haywards Heath branch as a potential buyer of a property that they were selling/managing. Substandard communication throughout the entire process from start to finish with us regularly chasing for updates which was massively elongated due to the sellers 'changing their minds' after we had, had our offer accepted, engaged a solicitor and paid for searches to be completed on the property. The entire situation could have been avoided if the sellers were onboarded correctly with Mansell Mc Taggart to ensure that they were 100% certain about marketing and selling their property. Make sure you get everything formalised in writing to protect yourself should anything go wrong like it did in our situation.

Unfortunately the sellers didn't fully disclose their situation to us and as soon as they did we immediately notified you & advised you not to spend any further money. The process to buy or sell a property in the UK allows for any buyer or seller to withdraw from the sale at any point before exchange without having to give any reason, this is also equally as frustrating for us as we also don't get paid until completion meaning we have also lost money on this sale taking into account time spent at the property and marketing costs. Equally we valued this property on 3 separate occasions and we wouldn't have listed their property if we felt there was any other ulterior motive than to sell. Lovely though it is, our four hundred year old cottage was not an easy one to sell, particularly in view of severely restricted headroom in places.
