I recently sold my house with Spencer's. I chose them because of the positive reviews that they have, and also because they HAD sold a lot of other properties in my area. I have never sold a house before, so this was a new experience and definitely a learning experience. The next house that I sell, I will not use a commission based agent. I could have saved thousands by using Strike, which I will do next time I sell. Spencer's did nothing over and above for the amount they got paid. My house sold itself as soon as it went on Rightmove. Their communication was poor in terms of helping you with the sale process, especially when handing over keys. I was told that I had all day to move out, but then I got hounded with phone calls in the afternoon telling me I needed to take the keys ASAP. I specifically asked them when I needed to deliver the keys, and was told by a member of staff that it could be anytime that day. The photographer that they use was extremely unprofessional. He moaned about having to work in the morning, then started complaining about politics, which is very unprofessional. He was in and out in 5 minutes and seen as you also pay for this on top of the commission, I was not the best. The man they use for the EPC's was extremely nice and professional and I would recommend him, I am unable to remember his name though.

Absolutely disgusting - do not give the 24 hours notice required by law for them to gain access to the property- quite brazenly just say we have a key and we will go in a do what we need to regardless of you being there or not. We viewed several properties on the market with Spencers. The brochures were always good quality.
