Our previous landlord tried to claim over £4k of damages off us including the following: *a lovely new returfed landscaped front and back garden to which they had the trees removed from when we moved out ready to lay the turf and the rest of the lovely garden additions out of our money. </p><p>* a brand new front door as theirs was tired and needed an update after 15 years * redecorating the house including repairing satellite holes that were present at check in when we moved in. The house hadn't been redecorated for over 8 years! </p><p>* cleaning despite the house being spotless (anyone that has visited our house knows I keep it extremely clean!) Including a £100 quote from their friend to clean the windows. He had previously done these for us for £15, so it would be a nice little earner for the both of them for us to pay that!! The landlord even when to the trouble of pulling out appliances such as the fridge to find dirt to take photos off to try and get our money. They have tried to renew a tired worn our house to brand new from our money and not their own.</p><p><br></p><p>During the time we lived their we were stalked constantly by the landlord ***** along with her partner ** who came to the door without notice. She asked all the neighbour's to constantly watch us and report back to her via text which the neighbour admitted when being confronted. Out of all of this the agent Hamnett Hayward who appear extremely nice and were very quick to badmouth *** for being a nuisance on multiple occasions then proceeded to side with her and get her quotes to try and take our money. If anyone is considering renting from them I would think very hard about it. I am happy to provide all emails and proof of their behaviour to anyone that would like it. When I asked the all inspection reports they refused to give me any evidence to help us as *** was supposed to be selling the so called house via them. Well guess what today we won the battle and the vile greedy people for only £158 of our money which in the scheme of things is worth the battle. Some of the words of the adjudicator were: I consider the comparison of the check in and check out shows the property to be cleaned to the same of better standard than check in - award to landlord £0!! *GARDEN - tenants reported to agent with backgarden during tenancy and nothing was done during tenancy to correct this. Front Lawn at check out stated no issues- award to landlord £0 These people should be ashamed of themselves, the whole situation has put a huge amount of stress on us Including the fact that I am 7 months pregnant and my son is autistic and out of school, we have enough to worry about without having greedy people trying to take our money which we work hard for. We don't get given stuff on a plate, everything we have is from working hard! We won, the facts are on paper!!!</p>
