Keep well away from this letting agent. Three years ago and new to renting I approached Rodor and met 2 great guys Paul and Ian. They explained everything to me and any problems or doubt's they were there to help. Great blokes.They gave me the confidence to buy another property to rent out. About 18 months ago they suddenly left, I was now dealing with a guy called Marven apparently Rodor is Marvens company. Big turn about was about to happen. I asked Marven what happened to Paul and Ian over the next couple of months he gave me 3 different stories why they left. I think they left because they smelt a rat. Things went down hill.First my gas cert was not updated, I didn't know this until I asked Marven about it. He blamed the gas engineer having a back log of work because of Covid, luckily I actually had the gas engineers number so I phoned him,he informed me that he wouldn't be doing anymore work for Rodor until they paid him for work he had already done. I told him I'd pay him direct so he done the gas cert 2 days later. Secondly rent on one of the properties was about a week late,I phone Marven and he couldnt give a reason for it been late, but it was paid that evening.The next month the other property rent was late, I visited Rodor office on 3 occasions all with promises it would be paid. I threatened Marven with the small claims court, he soon got back to me telling me the tenants bank was late paying Rodor which was fair enough but it still took over a week for him to pay me, the tenant told me the bank was a day late paying Rodor. The next problem was the invoices. One of them had all the wrong figures although the right amount of money was paid into my account. I spoke to Marven about this and he said it doesn't matter as I had been paid the right amount. I pointed out that yes it does matter for tax purposes. He wouldn't issues a new invoice and then the invoices stopped all together. I then decided to manage my properties myself, it was another battle to get all the documents I needed back from Rodor even getting them to transfer the deposits took 2 emails, in the end I had to contact DPS to help me. Finally the deposits were transferred. I'm a landlord God help any of Rodor tenants.

12 Aug 2022Mr Kearney your review is biased and we don't believe you have given an honest review. We are aware that you were prejudiced against Marven when you reallsed that Paul and Ian had left. You are aware that during the pandemic engineers were not visiting accommodations during Covid. Your comment about your conversation with the engineer is untrue. I find it hard to believe that your review is unbiased as you are aware you have not reflected matters in a truthful manner.We do not mind receiving negative feedback or constructive feedback however we would appreciate an honest assessment of the situation than prejudicial attempt as you have done before.

Marven Gabula has been expelled from the Property Redress scheme. He cannot legally trade until he pays his debts yet he still is trading.
