AVOID AVOID AVOID this agent at all costs - I rented a shop in the west end arcade in Nottingham Their was an unfortunate escalator accident - and their lack of action (along with the landlords) caused my viable business (and at least three others to collapse) Their was no through access to the arcade for over TEN MONTHS - there was NO FOOTFALL so NO CUSTOMERS. Our takings dropped to £8 a day - our business could not survive on that. Hodgson Elkington did not care, there was no direct communication, no rent reduction, just hard faced - non caring attitude and a threat to send us to court !!! - I seriously will relish the day this shambolic organisation (and I use that word looseley) collapses AVOID AVOID AVOID

Our dog died as a result of horrific injuries from window glass in the garden. No remorse was shown, we asked to leave one month early and it was refused. We left anyway, paying the last month's rent, and we are still trying to get our deposit back. Hodgson and Elkington, are incompetent. They ... Read Full Review

multiple problems with location, outside of my business control, their inaction causing sever loss of business, phone calls not returned, more calls made, still not returned, severe lack of customer care, many tenants who I know feel the same, they just take the rent and thats it - they appear not ... What agent could do to change your mind?
resolve issues - quickly, before our businesses go down the toilet - return phone calls - urgently - or at least at all...

Albeit that we have limited experience of agents acting on behalf of their clients, the quality of service, support and feedback received has undoubtedly had a detrimental experience to our tenancy agreement. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
