If you require your deposit at the end of your tenanacy, avoid this agents at all cost. Lived in property for over 9 years. No maintenance, improvement or repairs for over 9 yrs. Spent my own funds improving, repairing, painting, plastering leaks, kitchen, bathroom for over 9 years. They lied at end of tenancy that l did damage. Refused to return my deposit. And even attempted extorting thousands from me, stating l did damage to the house, despite spending my own money for 9 years to renovate the property. Avoid at all cost.

Dear Raphael. As you are also an Estate Agent you are aware of the process. We explain once again - The deposit is being withheld until such time that a determination is made by the deposit company. We will provide them photos from when you moved in and when you moved out. That is sufficient for the claim to be ruled in our favour. Once the deposit company have reached a conclusion we will act on their instructions. We are disappointed that you have chosen to make these claims in this manner, rather than address the matter through the deposit company, as we advised. We have not tried to extort money from you in any way. We have withheld your deposit. In the meantime, we are considering our response to the libellous claims made by you here and by direct communication to us.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
