Take ages to carry out repairs - only after making a deduction from my rent and reporting them to environmental health did they get onto the repairs, after about 6 months and many ignored emails/phone calls later. They complain about niggly little things, such as an ironing board in our back garden due to us buying a new one a couple of days ago - is this really affecting the property? Nobody can see it from the street. It's been there about 3 days, I work and so haven't had time to go to the tip. Seriously considering suing for harrassment.

my friends moved in first as i was at home working. 2 of the 3 beds were broken and the third had a moldy mattress, it was clear that the house had not been cleaned from the previous tenants as there were loads of bags full of dirty washing, pots and pans, broken desks and the house was left full... re modernize and redecorate ALL houses and never leave students without gas and electric. perhaps give them a budget at the beginning of the year and apply it all at once.

From the start of the contract Ian peat were extremely slow to respond to any questions or issues, we were left over a week without a shower (bath was un-useable) had to keep ringing up to even get them to send an electrician out. They were very unprofressional with dealing with on the phone and... Read Full Review

Absolutely terrible, I was renting as a student, the bills were supposed to be included in the rent, the landlord didn't pay the bills or the mortgage, the gas and electric company had a warrant to let themselves into the house and fit a pay as you go meter. Have seen other student properties with... Read Full Review

We had booked to view 2 properties, travelled over 40 miles each to view only to receive a phone call 30 minutes before the viewings (whilst we were driving so could not take the call) telling us "something had come up" with the current tenant so a vierwing would not be possible. Upon contacting... Read Full Review

Paid for credit check, told them I had bad credit. But they insisted they would check with landlord before processing. 2 weeks later apparently the landlord changed his mind because of bad credit?!?! Would never go there again and I would advise anyone to stay away because I am not the first... Read Full Review

Ian Peat are not upfront with prospective tenants. If you view a property, you decide to go for it - don't count on getting it. We asked if anyone else was viewing the property we chose and they said 'no, so if you come in tomorrow and put an application in (as long as you receive good references) ... Read Full Review
