I would not recommend Dez Rez legal at all and had a really negative experience. UPDATE- I have since been threatened by Gareth at Dez Rez with legal action leaving this review. This review is my honest experience and opinion of dealing with them and I will not be intimated to not share this. I have evidence of my concerns and would be happy to share this with anyone who may be interested. Firstly, our file was reallocated to another solicitor due to an interdepartmental change. We were never consulted about this or informed over the telephone but sent just sent an email which went straight to our junk folder (as it was an unknown email address). On not one occasion over the year we were dealing with Dez Rez did ever anyone actually call us (incoming call). My emails took over 2 weeks to respond to which Gareth has informed us is “reasonable”. Mix up of our client file with another Our solicitor sent us documents relating to planning permission of another property in Bristol. Our mortgage broker told us that they spoke to a member of the team at Dez Rez and was informed that they had received a letter of authority from us giving another person permission to speak on our behalf. We had not sent such a letter. Additionally, our broker told us that they was told that we were buying the property as a Buy to Let or second home, which is also not the case. Our broker also told us that they were told that our file had been passed to the completions teams June which was also not the case. We were contacted by someone posing as our solicitor asking for our deposit when we were close to exchange. When we flagged this to the team we just received an email advising us that this email was not sent by them and we did not feel that this was adequate.
