We chose Greg James Estate Agent based on the initial friendly and positive views expressed during the assessment and valuation of our property. After 6 weeks of publication, there was no firm interest and due to the complexity of our property being 'Share of Freehold', with a 'Lease Agreement', I advised Greg James that I would be present for future viewings to offer answers to any additional questions asked by the viewer. Greg Rowse however expressed that 'without offence' my 'personality' (not quoting) would ultimately hinder the viewing and I should not be there. I explained I would still be there, in the garden, available for any additional questions the viewer wished to ask. On the day, the viewing was ultimately positive with the viewer asking me questions that the estate agent would not have been able to answer. After 6 weeks with Greg James and no outcome, we decided to sign up with Mackenzie Smith (Farnborough) as Stephen Down (our Agent) had been fantastic with his customer service skills especially with a property we had put an offer on. During this time, Mackenzie Smith actually updated us with the outcome from the last viewing we had through Greg James. 24hrs later, Greg James contacted us with that same update. I informed Greg James that we already knew the outcome of the viewing following Mackenzie Smiths' update. There are multiple positive reviews about Greg James, and I do hope we are just a 'one off', as it's never nice for companies to receive bad reviews, however we believe there is a need for Greg James to improve communication skills, and we believe some employees need additional guidance on how to be more enthusiastic, influential and be able to negotiate during viewings. This is not just based on our property, but based on properties we were shown by Greg James. It is also worth noting that after 2 weeks of leaving Greg James and moving to MacKenzie Smith, we have a buyer and will be selling our property. I highly recommend Stephen Down from Mackenzie Smith.
