Never felt they were representing or acting in my interests. They seem to forget that it is the landlord who pays their finder fee, which in my case was worth all of 4 months before they summarily - with ZERO notice - terminated their 'management' of my property when I asked them to explain how it could be that asking the tenants to pay an additional one month deposit when they suddenly 'inherited' pets would be 'unlawful' when the contract states, wait for it, ..... an additional one-month deposit can be requested by the landlord in the event of the tenants wanting to keep pets. They are actually asking you to sign a document that it would be unlawful to adhere to. At best, it's a badly worded document which could lead to massive problems, a massive headache, and ongoing legal wrangles.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
